Having sailed on the solstice In 10/10, we were curious to see how the ship was maintained. We were impressed! celebrity does a great job maintaining the ship. We have a wonderful suite aft. Finally the one they show online and in the brochure! Big porthole and the sliders. the view aft is wide with a partial starboard view too! This was unbelievable as be approached and departed each more beautiful port. venice was so jaw dropping! Really too much to take in. We enjoyed the service of our butler. We traveled with a third so the extra room on the balcony was needed. What a perfect place to hang out and take the sights in. the cabin location is very remote, so it's extremely quiet.

We aso have sailed the silhouette transatlantic last fall. the food in mdr is not as good on the solstice as we found on the silhouette. That was outstanding, this was good. Celebrity still has the best mdr food on the mainstream cruise lines. The speciality restaurants were all good. Silk Harvest was excellent! we missed the lawn club and porch from the updated silhouette. Much better use of space on the newer ships.

This was all about the port stops and celebrity did a great job of managing that process. We book with the cruise line and feel safer when aboard. the bus we were on while on the Amalfi coast broke down,. Within an hour we had a new bus and were off and never missed a beat.

Great cabin! Great layout, even with a pole in the room. Large aft balcony with amazing views. Excellent storage space. Quiet location.
