Sail Date: Apr 2012

First transatlantic crossing, first Cunard liner and first visit to America.

The QM2 is everything we expected and more. Our cabin was with a sheltered balcony and this offered privacy and shelter. Bed was hugely comfortable and the bathroom spacious compared to a similar cabin on a previous cruise. We were on deck 6 towards the rear of the boat and within a few steps were on the open back deck with seating, pool and lovely glass screen panels.

.Daily activities were geared for all, I joined the watercolour painting, pub quiz and casino lessons plus art talks, history of New York lectures and the planetarium. I watched two top movies and two theatre shows which were slightly amateur.

Cabin Review

room 6090 rear of boat so long front corridor to walk to lift or stairs but short walk to rear deck. Good size with balcony. Some engine noise that is continuous but still slept well.
