Carnival Liberty - Brings out the Best of Carnival!

Sail Date: May 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Arrived in downtown Miami the day before to take in Bayside Market with 2 other couples joining us for this cruise. Had a blast at Bubba Gump's only to fall overboard on the way back to the hotel. Oh well best to get that overwith before boarding.

Sail Away - Beautiful weather outbound and fabulous views from the Captain's Suite balcony. Mooned over Miami by several young fisherman on the rock's leaving port!

Sea Day 1 - Enjoyed several buckets of our favorite beverages onboard the Serenity Deck starboard side. Wonderful addition to the Liberty, very cruise friendly sofa's and chairs with a bar and great service.

Cozumel - Spent the day at Nachi Cocom. What a great place. All inclusive meals and drinks of all kinds. Fabulous water and beach. Ended the day in the swim up bar pool and hot tub and Tequila shots! Don't remember much afterwards except dancing and singing with the mariachi band. I'm not sure where the balloon hats came from, oh well, enjoyed the More sail away and room service for dinner and an early bed time.

Belize - Decided to stay on board and enjoy the Serenity deck again, Another great day of good weather and great drinks.

Roatan - Rented a beach cabana, great decision. Enjoyed a beautiful beach and water and great food and beverages from the local bar. Excellent waiter service direct to your hammock or lounge chair.

Grand Cayman - Another beautiful weather day. Spent another day on the Serenity Deck taking a much needed morning nap in the big round clam shell.

Sea Day 2 - Awoke to another perfect day of weather, very calm seas and a gentle breeze blowing. Took a number of trips down the water slide and enjoyed the Corona bucket specials and free baseball caps.

Dinners - Made it to all anytime dining meals except one (after Cozumel!). Wonderful service and food. I don't understand how anyone can complain about the food or service. We enjoyed every meal!

Casino - 3 card poker was not as friendly as previous times but we where not shut out entirely.

Sports Bar - Much improved with the Fun Ship 2.0 additions. Great atmosphere and friendly bar service.

Lido Deck - Guy Burgers - Blue Iguana - etc. - A++ to the new additions, excellent food choices and never encountered much of a wait for food or drinks.

Cabin - Stayed in the Captain's Suite Port Side - Unbelievable view over the ships bridge and with an extended balcony. Two full size bathrooms one with shower and the other with jacuzzi tub. Walk-in closets, separate bedroom and living room that has the best sofa at sea. Bar with fridge and pull down bunk beds, oh and did I mention the two 55 inch TVs.

Carnival Liberty provided us with the best cruise week ever! Can't wait to do it again. Thank you crew for another great week at sea. Less
