This was our 4th cruise & our 3rd with Celebrity. We started the cruise off with a 2 day break in Barcelona which is a fantastic city. We stayed at the Majestic hotel which is in an ideal location. The major plus is the pool & bar on the top floor it's great place to savior the views with a glass of rioja. If there is one local place to eat at try Tapac 24 enjoy the experience.
Caught the taxi from the hotel to embark on the ship which went smoothly despite being overcharged for the journey.
The Stateroom was adequate & it was clean
The food was good especially in the MDR were Brad was an excellent assisted by Andre. They could not do enough for us.
Entertainment wise There could have been better use of the string quartet.
We organised all our own trips on port visits including our only organised tour that we undertook using Ephesus Tours for The Highlights of Ephesus. We found them very good.
I frequently used the gym & found it to be good.The running track was a waste of time as it got too difficult trying to avoid fellow runners & passengers with an accident waiting to happen
Unfortunately due to unrest in Athens We had to make an unanticipated stop in Crete. This did not spoil the cruise despite missing Athens.
Disembarkation was trouble free as we elected to carry our cases off ship
Overall the staff were very helpful & made the cruise special
