Embarkation - we embarked in Singapore after 2 nights at the Stamford Swissotel - a good hotel above an MTR station which makes getting around so much easier. We were scheduled to embark at 3.45pm but chose to take a taxi to the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre at 1.00pm and take our chances. Within 30 minutes we were on the bus and heading to the container port. The only minor delay was getting off the bus at the ship with 3 buses in front of us.
Cabin - we booked an inside Cabin - Caribe Deck 407 - mid ships with easy access to central lifts. The cabin and bathroom are small but comfortable and as we only used the cabin for sleeping the size was not an issue. The Cabin Steward was rarely sighted but our room was always well looked after.
Meals - we chose any time dining and ate each night at the Pacific Moon. A group of 4 and we normally had dinner at 7.30pm - only 2 occasions did we have to wait for a table and then only for 5 minutes. The meals in our opinion were excellent as was the service.
Entertainment - Our parents (early 70') loved the stage shows - we last cruised in December 2010 and as they were the same shows we did not enjoy them so much. The other entertainers were great including Maurizio who mainly sang/played piano in the Atrium of a night time.
Cruise Director - Kelvin Joy and Asst cruise director Matt Thompson were excellent
Shore Tours - we stuck with the Princess organised tours - all very good but sometimes they just try to fit so much into a day. All ports had shuttles if you wanted to do your own thing which we may do next time.
Disembarkation - very easy at Beijing with us off the ship by 7.00am
Post Cruise - we spent two days in Beijing and a further 2 days in Hong Kong on the way home to Melbourne Australia.
Summary - an excellent cruise - and we hope our next cruise is not too far away.
