Embarkation: We drove to VIP Parking in Jacksonville and got off to a slow start. We waited and hour for our shuttle to take us to port. Jaxport seemed to have more checkpoints than Tampa and was slightly slower to get onboard. Still it was not a bad process. Our rooms were ready a little early so we were able to drop off our carryons and head up to the Lido deck. The buffet area was not overly crowded which was nice. I even was able to try the Mongolian Wok without a line! It was good.

Cabin: We were in and outside room on the Upper Deck near the forward elevators. It was a convenient location. At times we could hear people in the hall, but it was not a big problem. The rooms a very soundproof as far as neighboring cabins are concerned. The bed and linens are so wonderful. There was plenty of storage for 2 people. Our stewards were excellent and friendly.

Ship: We have only cruised Fantasy Class ships, so we already knew the layout. The Fascination is easy to navigate around. The decor is more understated on this ship. Most in our party liked it better that way. It never felt very crowded. There is always a quiet place available. The deli and pizza are located all the way aft which helps with the traffic flow in the buffet. The pizza was really good this time. We were amazed at how smooth the shipped sailed most of the time. A little rocking is enjoyable for us, so the bad weather day didn't bother us.
