This is my first time doing a review so bear with me. This was our 10th cruise, but first with NCL. Embarkment was kind of a mad house and then they made you sit around for a long time in an area that really smelled horrible. The photos getting on were a joke and disorganized, but they did not have a very good photo staff at all they always seemed to be set up in the way and slowing things down all week. We were in the Sapphire Suite with 3 kids and it was wonderful. The kids enjoyed their own cubby hole and we enjoyed everything about this wonderful room including the DVD player in both the living room and master bedroom. With our friends in the adjoining cabin it was a perfect setup for us.
My mom was in a handicapped room on deck 10 and it gave her lots of space to get around just not much luxury, but it was the highest cabin offered for wheelchair. They make a big deal out of "VIP" status it is not much you can get off the ship whenever after standing in line with tender tickets, but you wait to get back on forever with everyone else. Priority dinner reservations really are non existent because anyone could make them for the week in the atrium everyday. Our concierge was very nice and very helpful through out the entire week. Our butler was a waste he delivered room service for us one morning and put a treat in our room each night.
The kids program was a disappointment compared to other lines. They had almost nothing to offer teens except a set time to get together if they wanted to eat with other teens and maybe one activity at the peak time of day. My 12 year old went a few times and enjoyed the games in the afternoon, but that was about it. Easter was a big disappointment they did nothing for the teens and my 12 year old got a bag of candy and a stuffed bunny and that did not happen until 9pm.
