Disney Wonder - Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral (Orlando)
Kid's 16 year old male & 11 year old female did not participate in any youth/teen program. Teen club on deck 10-11 looked great. You can visit before leaving the port. I wish I could have hung out there but NO parents allowed after leaving port. If you have teens the LOFT has TV's, computers, private events just for teens. Soda is free on the ship and during meals thus no soda card needed.
Dining room: Rolando Albano, server, and assistant, Hermanto Pakpahan, with head Joachim Rothe all very good and made the meals memorable. Movement of dinning locations, pre assigned, gave a nice chance to experience all of the ship. Our schedule was Triton's deck 3 midship-> Animator's palate deck 4 aft -> Parrot Cay More deck 3 aft Food quality equal to most upper scale chain restaurants. 8/10 quality
Wine lovers should purchase the wine package on the first day. $69 for good wine/champagne or $100 for higher level. This allows you 3 Bottles from the selections. If you do not finish them they are there the next night or you take them home.
Getting on and checking in was very easy and fast, room was ready @ 1:30pm with lunch buffet on deck 9 aft where you will eat most breakfast meals unless you like sit down
Day 1= Nassau Atlantis beach shore excursion must meet @ 9am or you are on your own. We were told by 2 Disney staff members on the dock that if we missed the 9am departure and we were out of luck. Thus we found ferries are 6$ round trip/person to pleasure island. Atlantis staff was great and escorted us to the beach with a tour on the way. They had chairs and towels for us even though we were late. Thank god for them because there were no Disney staff in sight the whole day. $60/30 min jet ski Fireworks after pirate's party
Day 2= Castaway cay, previous Big Red Boat island. Snorkeling sub, diving bell, tee cups. Adult only beach very quiet All boat, parasailing... Canceled due to strong winds. (Blustery at best) best part of the cruise. Can come and go as you please.
Spa was great. Rainforest package $36 for unlimited access to the steam, sauna, aromas room, rain showers and relaxation. Very Nice
Shows; Golden mikes was very nice Dreams
Plenty of character appearances and you can purchase the pictures @ 10 each
Overall a great cruise for families with children who can truly appreciate the Disney Magic. Not worth the money for anyone else. For those who have been to Disney you know the expense for anything with the mouse on it. Less
