This was our second trip on Mariner out of Galveston. Beautiful ship but probably ready for some updating. Crew overall gave excellent service.

BUT...

This was the first time we have experienced issues with our neighboring stateroom. We had a honeymoon couple next to us (and probably some other adjoining stateroom(s) traveling with them. They were so noisy yelling and screaming on the balcony we literally could not hear the TV in our cabin. The bigger problem was their use of marijuana every time they came onto the balcony. As soon as they came out of their cabin, they would light up and we would have to go back inside. We complained to our cabin steward about the noise and it improved "somewhat" for a couple of days. We called Security on the ship about the drug usage. We were told they could not legally search the cabin but that their passports would be flagged and they would be interviewed by customs upon return to the US. We paid $3,000 for our trip and felt we were cheated out of the fun we could have had.
