The good,The bad,The beautifulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Sail Date: April 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

I started off reviewing cruises/web sites/face book/cruise critic/ emailing companies, and after a lot of research we booked a cruise through norwegian as our honeymoon/anniversary present.
The good equals everything that was said about them that i found to be true
The bad equals there customer service web site and the availability of there service representatives, and excursion web sites representatives, not good when i am the one who is wanting to spend more money.
The beautiful equals everything that we received on board which was superior customer service and you felt like they had known you for years, you had a few different options as to where to eat and all the food was hot satisfying and plenty, the cruise director Jaime and bean town Brian were hilarious in there shows and as you walked about the ship you would run into them and they as well as the other 930 employees just made you fell like you were the most important guests.
ENRICO CABERO took care of a lot of More us and was always professional and smiling and always accommodating to us,like you who had the privilege,we folded a towel in the shape of a number 1 and left it on our bed with a note personally to him with a tip attached,it was not necessary but he deserved it.
The ship was decorated nice and updated with current movies as the room was spacious enough for us two and i am a smoker but smoking was allowed on the balcony and other areas of the ship, which was convenient for an after dinner smoke, the shows were funny and engaging and tino the one man band was hilarious, man you have to love peanut bongs,
The excursions were nice to visit but we really were only impressed with the following excursions,Cozumel Mexico, sad to say not a lot of time was spent in the market by our tour guide nor was a lot of time spent at the sight, tulum ruins as would have loved more time to walk around and take more pictures despite the rain, tour guide was knowledgeable but self serving as to her time,i almost said like saying DAMN lady slow down and let us see and take pictures, had to walk through some flooded water to get on the bus
The boxed lunch was a joke and the beach was a joke due to the restroom not have any electricity,no paper, yeah you had to get paper towels from outside before you went inside, kind of felt like doing the Bruce springsteen look but found paper, not enough time to order food which they would have to bring to you on the beach, the ocean was beautiful along with the sand but very little time to spend there,i would not book the tulum beach excursion again,i will book one or the other for our next cruise there again,i did but my wife a necklace and this was an option and there was no high pressure sales, but it was a souvenir as well, tipping is an option and i felt the guide deserved a dollar, yeah a dollar.
Day at sea was spent doing whatever you wanted and since this is free styling it served us well as we could take in the funny shows, the poolside entertainment, yes guys you will enjoy it,just wear dark glasses, and order another bucket of beer and order your wife a margarita/punch rum/mojito/anything fruity drinks, day at sea was an excellent time for us to explore other restaurants that were available to eat in without paying extra to eat in and we enjoyed the seven seas as well as the four seasons and guys if you need to get yourself out of trouble, head to four seasons where the have a chocolate buffet, yeah everything chocolate in the world, just take your wife to that table and you are set,and if she is still mad at you, consider jumping overboard,Ochoa Rio was the best excursion of all based upon the time allowed at Dunn's River Falls and the Bamboo Beach Club. Of course we had excellent weather, which was very nice. Dunn's River Falls was fun to climb up and was beautiful. You definitely get wet, so bring a waterproof camera! It is slippery at times, but your fellow climbers are there to offer a helping hand. After you are done climbing, the tour guide warns you not to purchase anything at the market as the vendors are very pushy. Be sure to stay with your group as we had to wait on 2 people, who had gotten separated from us. After a quick bus ride to the beach we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful beach and water. If you have water shoes with you, you might want to wear them if you go walking to the right of the swimming area it is a little rocky. We thought there would be a buffet lunch at the beach club, but we were actually waited on hand and foot. The guide brought around plates of food and drinks to everyone and you took what you wanted. It was very relaxing and we were there about 2 and 1/2 hours. This day was very relaxing and we were not rushed at all.
I did tip her well as she deserved it,
The Grand stirrup cay was beautiful to snorkel in for all ages and the food here was served buffet style by the ship and it was good and plenty and hot and live music was played throughout the day.
Perfect ending to a beautiful cruising experience and norwegian freestyle is the only way to cruise for us Less
