My husband, 2 daughters(14 and 16) and myself recently returned from the March 12-19th cruise on the Sun. Our 1st cruise was in Nov./03; we picked NCL because Freestyle Cruising appealed to us. Since Nov/03 we have taken 3 other cruises with NCL. Two were on the Wind and Nov/04 and this cruise on the Sun. All were Western Caribbean. We enjoy NCL and all the cruises have had excellent service and value.

On this cruise, we stayed in a BA (OOO3) cabin, which we found to be very clean and spacious. There was room for the 4 of us and there was more than enough cupboards, shelves and cubbyholes for our clothes and belongings. All of us overpacked and there were shelves that we didn't use. We got to see an Mae minisuite, the cabin and balcony were a little bigger than ours, but they had a huge walk in closet-dressing area and a very roomy bath area with tub and shower.

We found the food ranged from very good to excellent. We had all breakfasts and lunches in the Garden Cafe and Outdoor Cafe. The only problem we found was with the eggs, which were horrible. The waffle station was a huge hit and very good. There was an Indian food station at lunch which was also very good. We didn't try any of the specialty restaurants, as the food in the main dining rooms were very good. Three of the dinners were outstanding. We had dinner anywhere from 6 to 7:30 and never had to wait in line. Some of the waiters were friendly than others, but all were polite and service was excellent. Midway through the cruise, we tried the Las Ramblas Tapa Bar, which had hot and cold tapas. Every night the menu changed and there was no extra charge to eat here. We enjoyed them so much we went there for the rest of the cruise for tapas and a glass of wine and then skipped soup and salad when we went for dinner.
