Pharoahs and the Promised Land - a great cruise
We were in cabin 709 an outside cabin on deck 2. This is a larger than average cabin and is ideally located. Room service as always was outstanding with fresh towels and chocolates each day. We came back to our cabin one night to find a huge blower on! There had been a leak and the carpet was wet and so they were trying to dry it out. A basket of fruit and wine was left for the inconvenience and we were offered another cabin which we declined.
We ate mainly in the Compass Rose restaurant because it is nice to be waited on for a change. Everybody was friendly and helpful here and the food was lovely with lots of options. We met some really nice people and shared our experiences of the day!
The evening shows were enjoyable and varied and we always found a seat. We also went to shows in High Spirits and these were very good too.
We had one day at sea and spent that up on deck 10. Drink More service up here was very good. You do have to get a chair early though as by mid morning people were finding a chair difficult. Lots to do on a sea day with a variety of demonstrations and competitions etc laid on.
We decide not to go ashore in Alexandria because we had heard some negative things and were glad we didn't because guests returning who hadn't been on a ships tour said that the port area was not nice with a lot of rubbish and harassment by people selling goods and taxi rides.
All in all we had a great cruise saw some wonderful sites and met some lovely people. Less

cabin 709 outside on deck 2. lots of wardrobe space (2 double wardrobes). Lots of drawer space. Very little noise apart from the usual rattling of the ship. An L shape and larger than the standard outside cabins on this deck . Adequate size bathroom
