Checked in ~ 11am and was on the boat by 1130. Our staterooms were ready by about 130. Had a lovely lunch in the Oceanview Cafe.
Had three aft cabins on deck 8. Very quiet...just a little soot on the balcony. Outstanding cabin stewards and rooms very clean and new. Was very nice to have the veranda dividers removed to make an extra big balcony.
Main dining room was consistently outstanding...food and service were top notch. We ate in Qusine one night. Our "foodie" kids loved it...adults were less impressed...music was loud and it was difficult to talk. Food was interesting...overall a fun experience and we would do it again. Coffee from Cafe al Bachio was terrific all week...loved the chocolate pastries. Molecular Bar was as amazing as ever...Milos was wonderful! Had quite a few ginger mojitos! Adults had the premium alcoholic beverage package and kids had the premium nonalcoholic beverage package. I More
would say everyone at least "broke even". It was wonderful not to have to worry about a bar bill and just get want we wanted. Our wine steward in the MDR was fantastic...very attentive with great recommendations.
All good...the only weak link was Bernard's tour in St Martin. I can honestly say it was terrible. Our guide "Sexy" hardly spoke and didn't know how to use the AC for about two thirds of the trip. We actually cut our tour short and took a cab back to shopping and the ship. Tour was extremely overrated.
Continued to enjoy the live music around the ship. The comedian was very funny. Our only complaint was the piped in music in the common areas was sometimes very loud.
We have been on about ten other cruises and Celebrity continues to be our favorite with the service on the Eclipse as the best we have ever had! Less
