Epic not that impressive

Sail Date: April 2012
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Pros-
A variety of entertainment...book early though...some of the shows fill up fast!

Water Park...three water slides, kiddie/toddler area for young ones, two pools

Children's activities...a ton of things to do. We utilized the under 2 zoo room every day, but realize that there is no supervisor for the young ones so you have to stay in there. Considering the room size of the cabins, the zoo room gave parents a break to let there children/babies crawl all over.

Cons-
Room size...so small, we needed a crib and couldn't fit it. Had to take the sofa mattress out and bed frame in order to create a spot for it. Balcony was a good size though

Food...not very impressive at all compared to our last cruise on celebrity. It was just regular old food.

Service in restaurants-so slow...we had an 11 month old and it was ridiculous how slow it took to get some cut up fruit for him, let alone any of our food..

Getting a seat on deck--get ready More to get up early in order to save a seat for yourself. If you get up at nine o'clock...sorry, not a chair available. It says in there daily newsletter that you cannot save a seat for more than an hour or your stuff will be removed. Never saw that happen, instead we had some chairs near us where the people did not come until four hours later?!??!

Elevators....oh my gosh....soooooo slow.

Some of the room service...we found ashes on our table on the deck when neither one of us smoke?? Explain that.
Also, a bar of soap on our shower floor when we walked in.
And every day we had to put in our own garbage liner in the evening??Guess the room attendant couldn't figure that each night.

While my husband and I were on, they just conveniently lost a bottle of wine from a restaurant that we had bought...it took forever(almost the entire dinner)for them to finally just offer a new one or a complimentary glass at the very least.

The ports were great...all three we went to beaches. Although, I will recommend going to little bay instead of big bay at St. Marten. Much more quiet, clean, and maybe a ten min drive. Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Epic Balcony Stateroom Deck 8

Tight...can brush you teeth over the sink while sitting on the bed. Toilet is extremely loud to flush since there is no official door, just the sliding glass door. Akward layout overall. No space at all for a crib...you will have to get a small one in order not to move the sofa mattress out of the way.
