Ship Facts: Crown Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Crown Princess Deck Plans
Crown Princess cruise
Crown princess had some strong points, but a lot of small problems, 600 of them on our cruise. That was the number of kids that on the ship, with many of them spoiling it for the adults. We are dancers, but most of the time the kids turned the dance floor into a playground, during the few occasions they provided decent dance music on the 2 decent sized dance floors.

Service by room stewards was excellent, service in dining rooms was also excellent. The food was good. Anytime dining worked great for us, since we went in between 5:40 PM and 6:15 PM. There seemed to be a big wait at time for people arriving between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

They had good lounge entertainers, but the scheduling and placement of the entertainers undermined their efforts. They had one lounge were people were dancing every night for the first 4 nights. So they moved one of the entertainers from there to places you could not dance and put a string quarter in that room in his place.

Except for wheelhouse lounge, the kids took over all the other places you might be able to dance. If ballroom dancing is your thing, princess is definitely not the line to go on. We did not expect them to be as good as Costa, but we did not think they would be as bad as they were.

The entertainment was weak in the theater, they had fairly poor singers and dancers. One out of 4 singers was fairly good.

None of the public rooms were very big, which made it difficult to host the special nights in a manner that resulted in many people enjoying them.

They did have some nice dance floors, but provided very little dance music in the 2 rooms with decent floors.

They did not seem to be effective for any target group, other than families who want to let their kids run amok.

Pool area was poorly designed and always filled up quickly. It did not seem to have as much room as other ships. They had 2 small areas, instead of one big area like most ships,

This was our first and last princess cruise.

Tendering to Princess Cay port was extremely slow and ship left late, because they could not get the people back to the ship. It took at least 3 hours to get everyone to shore and this was suppose to be a 6 hour stop.
