We really enjoyed this cruise and the ship. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ship was beautiful and well maintained.
We booked a Grand Suite for a round trip cruise out of Barcelona. The embarkation process was extremely easy and fast. Almost too fast, the cabin wasn't ready so we had to tote our carry on bags with us for the first 2 hours. Getting off the boat was just as easy.
The cabin was wonderful, bigger than most hotel rooms and a very roomy bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. We priced a similar cruise on Princess and the cost for a Grand Suite with Royal Caribbean was the same price for a junior suite on Princess and RC suite was so much nicer than Princess!
The food was okay. We did not visit the main dining room because I scheduled long excursions everyday so we ordered room service most days. Room service was okay but every order was messed up - wrong items on the tray, no utensils, temperature, etc. Portofino's was good but Chops Grille was excellent. We ate there 2 nights and the Red Velvet Cake was the best I have ever had!
Learned a big lesson about booking excursions in advance. Don't book back to back 10 hour excursions or you will wilt by day 3! I wanted to see everything so we did! By the time we got back to the cabin at the end of each day, we ordered room service, took Advil and went to sleep! The excursions were good but it was very crowded in the Mediterranean so you had to keep moving.
Didn't really have a chance to visit the entertainment areas of the ship except a sports bar for drinks. The bartenders were very nice. The rest of the ship seemed pretty nice too.
