A dream cruise

Sail Date: March 2012
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Barbados

Our flight from Manchester was good. Thomsons give good leg room on long haul.Cases checked in at manchester and the next time we saw them was at our cabin. Arrived at Barbados on time. We came off the plane onto coaches to take us to port for fast check in then taken to our cabin. The cabin was clean and had good storage .Bathroom good for us but the shower was a little small if you are a large person.we met our room steward Ridwan who was a very nice man and always there to say hello. Safety drill done before we sailed. We ate in the Lido that night and will admit did not like it much, a bit like getting a school dinner. The rest of the cruise we ate in the Orion which is very nice. Most nights we were on Jeffs station. We had meet him last year on the Dream.Noel was our wine waiter and he soon learned what we drank and just served the drinks We liked. The evenings in the Ocean bar were very good and The bar men Lorenzo Robert Jeffery and Rod were great. The girls who waited on were More also very good. We could not knock the service from Hazel, Karen and May.When we were on the Dream before we liked the Delo bar with the piano but this time we found Keith played too loud so you couldn't have a chat with the people around the table But as I will always say everyone likes different things.
Breakfast and Lunch we took in Sirens. Always a good choice to choose from plus afternoon tea.
We booked some trips on the ship which were good and others we did our own thing .You could always find taxis as you got of the ship. The Captain is great and always tells a story just before the ship sails . We were very lucky to be invited on to the bridge one night to see the sail away and also shown around the bridge.
We do not bother with the shows but most people say they are good .We do go to the crew show which is on once a week and it is excellent.
The ports of call were good. All in all we had a great time on the Dream and would we go again Yes Thomson can be very proud of their crew, they are excellent and all work hard to see that you enjoy your cruise. Less
