NICE CRUISE ON BALTIC SEA BUT BE AWARE CONCERNING THE EXCHANGE OF YOUR MONEY

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Staff is so sweet. Everybody wants to please you. The room was very clean (I reserved an interior cabin). The activities on board are so, so, Some excursions too expensive. The shuttle bus will cost you a lot just to go to dowtown. We had to pay 39$US twice. Sometimes (Skagen and Copenhagen), you can just walk about 10 to 15 minutes but they don't tell you that. One thing that people must know ...

A promising itinerary but too much in too short a time

Service was excellent but the staff is stretched to the limit food was mediocre - what used to be formal night fare was now to be paid extra for and the quality of the food was far below the usual for RCCL it seems that the higher quality is reserved for the larger ships entertainment the same thing - the better acts are sent to the larger ships here they had a bubble blower " PLEASE" ...

Have just come home from 3B2B cruises on Vision of the Seas. Food repeated over and over no changes in the menu? Lunch menu in the Aquaris is the same every day. Why are'nt food of the country you are visiting incorporated into the menu there is just no imagination on this boat. No food decorations or ice sculptors? No Happy Hour? Every other cruise that I have been on have Happy Hour ...

Great cruise itinerary for late Spring season, doable with preschool kids

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We booked this itinerary because we've never seen this area of Europe. We brought 2 preschool-aged kids and decided to book it for the late spring so that we would avoid summer crowds. We started and ended in Amsterdam and stayed 1 overnight there after the cruise. We didn't have time to explore the city before the cruise. The taxi fare from the airport to ship was 83 Euro for 4 adults/2 kids. ...

Suddenly you realise the little changes from previous cruises

Arrival at the port was early but our cases were loaded which left us quite a lot of free time in Amsterday (only a 30 minute walk from port to centre of Amsterdam). Check in busy as you would expect. We were in cabin 3124. Cabin was clean and was well cared for during our 12 night cruise. We realised the air conditioning wasn't working, but to be honest, the weather wasn't that hot/warm so ...

Worst ship for entertainment and activities

We chose this cruise for the itinerary but the food in the Aquarius Dining Room was tasteless for the most part, no seasonings! The menus lacked any enthusiasm. The first 3 days there were great choices but it went downhill from there, although the wait staff did a great job! The food choices in the Windjammer rarely varied, same things every day for breakfast and lunch with maybe 1 or 2 new ...

Figment of the Seas

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

This was a figment of what an RCCL cruise should be. I've done RCCL cruising before, and cruised with others, this was not up to par. Crew service was one of the two items that was on point for this cruise the second item was what drew me to book it in the first place, the itinerary. Being off ship was a pleasure as the port options were very good. When you think of cruising particularly a ...

First RCI cruise and probably the last

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We have done several Princess cruises as well as a couple of Oceania but this was our first on Royal Caribbean. Oceania is our favourite but I won't compare it to RCI as it is a cut above although slightly more expensive (not much when you factor in the inclusions that are extra on some other lines. I thought RCI and Princess were similar but we definitely prefer Princess, Similar to another ...

RCCL needs to put some money into their older boats

I like the port of call for this Barcelona to Amsterdam itinerary. The negative is really the boat. It is old and not much refurbishment was done. They had good entertainment in the Centrum every evening, but the trouble was it went on to midnight. Those of us that occupied staterooms near the Clentrum suffer. Yes, they did close the corridor doors, but every time, someone went in and ...

Pros and Cons

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We chose this cruise for the ports of call. It was a way to see a number of cities in Europe, and not have to move hotels every 2 days. We enjoyed the various ports we visited and the tours we took were all excellent. The service on the ship was also very good. Our wait staff in the dining room were exceptional and our cabin was well maintained, However i had to ask for shampoo, shower gel, etc. ...
