Just Horrible -

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

In a word, horrible. The ship was FILTHY....our cabin was so dirty we had to ask the cabin steward, on the first day, to vacuum and dust. I understand the ship is old, but no reason for it being dirty. The food, at times, was inedible. The service in the dining room and the bars was not acceptable. In the dining room the waiter/busboy kept giving our table the incorrect meals. Drinks orders ...

Not what I hoped for - Suite 4000

My destination was the ship, but the itinerary included Charleston, SC, Port Canaveral, FL, Miami, FL, Nassau, Bahamas, and Coco Cay, Bahamas. Coco Cay got cancelled for safety reasons, as the water was very choppy and they only expected it to get worse. I completely agreed with the decision to cancel this stop. Charleston, SC is a quaint old city, full of southern charm and southern ideals. ...

They don't care.

The cabin window was so filthy, we could barely see out, much less take pictures through it. We reported it every day. They squirted salt water over the salt streaks without using soap, which didn't work.At the same time, they were washing the windows that were visible at the restaurants the proper way, soap and sqeegee. We wouldn't have booked the cruise under that circumstance. The quality ...

Close to Baltimore and I didn't have to fly. The embarking and disembarking was fantastic! Very easy and went quick. We were in cabin 4006. When docking, you could hear the anchors going down and at night time, the floor above us was the Palladium Theatre. You could hear the music. Getting to sleep before 10:30 was impossible. That being said, our stateroom attendant was fantastic! Dining ...

Service was Excellent, Staff was Prompt, the entertainment could use some Tinkering for here and there, but Overall the Service was Fantastic , Dining Room Staff was the Star of this Cruise, I could not believe the Dedication, and Promptness and overall satisfaction I got from this Cruising Experience, Stateroom was Immaculate, all the time, with the staff always in and out with the service you ...

We live near Baltimore and have sailed on this ship several times. Our room had several problems with the ac and heating. 4 times we had to have someone come up because the room was running ac all the time. When they fixed it, it was too hot. Could not even sleep. Last day they got it right. The entertainment was good but the same thing as last March. Food did not offer many new choices each ...

The good the bad and the ugly

The grand mother recommended the cruise with Royal Caribbean. The good food was great the staff where friendly the room attendant was great the waiter in the dinning room was great. The bad 2 broken hot tubs, Broken ice cream machine, unwashed windows, and rust abounding on the exterior of the ship. Now the Ugly I dropped my children off at the teen center on the ship for a "in room scavenger ...

we chose this cruise because it was inexpensive and close to home. we were pleasantly surprised by many things. the grandeur is a relatively small and older ship (22), but it was in excellent condition with little evidence of her age. we were greeted by staff at the port and onboard the ship that appeared to genuinely want to please and who enjoyed their jobs. although conditions at coco cay ...

We chose this cruise because of the price and the Bahamas/Coco Cay Port. Overall this was a very relaxing vacation. The staff was great. The main dining hall was great. The windjammer had excellent food including the fruit smoothies. Scrambled eggs did leave a lot to be desired. Our cabin was very nice. There were parts of the ship, mostly outside that showed its age. The Grandeur really ...

This cruise was picked for a group because of the itinerary. We travelled from the West Coast of Canada so our expectations were high. Embarkation went very smoothly as one of our group had priority status. We were given early access to our cabin and our luggage came along very quickly. We had a balcony cabin but it wasn't much larger than the Oceanview cabin our friends had and there was ...
