Loved every minute!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

This was my 4th total cruise, 2nd on Norwegian. I chose this cruise for the itinerary. I loved every minute of this trip! Embarkation- we arrived at the port around 11 am and there were no lines at all. Filled out a health form and walked right up to a check in person. It took about 5 minutes to get our key cards and were then allowed to walk right on the ship. Plenty of friendly staff ...

Good cruise but far from the best

This was my fifth cruise, first time on Norwegian. The ports of call for this cruise were great. Where I was disappointed was the food. The restaurants were below average for a cruise ship, good but far from great. The buffet was disappointing. It was overcrowded at all times. The more popular meals such as the pasta bar always had long lines with poor selection. The bread was stale on several ...

Poorly designed mega ship

A Norwegian Mega Ship We had a great time on this cruise but I really don't think Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) knows how to build good Mega Ships. A lot of people don't like big ships as they feel they are too crowded. I can now see what they are talking about. I cruised on the new Carnival Horizon Mega Ship on its maiden Transatlantic crossing in May 2018. The Carnival Horizon is about the ...

Excellent Baltic Cruise

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary and the ship. We have sailed on it before and new the quality. We participated in onboard activities, like the not so newlywed game and found out we suck at it! Overall though loads of fun. Hubby ran into his college roommate sailing with his wife. Total coincidence. Specialty restaurants always good, especially tempanyaki. Servers are always ...

We wanted to see the Baltics and this cruise was just right! The ship was amazing and I rarely felt like there were 4600 guests aboard. The only time it felt crowded was in the buffet for breakfast, sometimes it is difficult to get a seat. The food was great and they were very accommodating for my wife's egg allergy. The itinerary was great and we really enjoyed our excursions, though they were ...

This terrible cruise will help us remember our honeymoon forever.

We choose this cruise for the great port cities it offered, however the cruise was full of rude kids who bully and harass guests, poor food quality. And rude staff. Every floor was plagued with ding dong dash games, we had a hard time getting sleep, the adult only areas are full of kids, and the bars are all understaffed to reduce the amount of drinks you can get with unlimited package. 6 ...

My cousin's wife picked the tour because of the itinerary. We have traveled Norwegian many, many times and always had a good experience. We are senior citizens and felt that due to the size of the ship we missed a lot of things. VERY long lines, reservations for entertainment venues, LONG tracks up and down the docks to load. These were things we should have expected due to the huge size of this ...

Not my kind of cruise

Chosen by another family who was trying to please everyone. It didn't have the entertainment or on-board activities I would have expected. Overall the ship was more for younger couples or families with children than for seniors. Ship was very loud and crowded. Long narrow hallway to room was always blocked with cleaning carts and equipment. Few shows that had to be reserved went very ...

Great Baltic Cruise

This was an awesome cruise! We are first-timers on NCL. Many timers on Carnival. I have to say I was very impressed. Restaurants were good! We only had one speciality restaurant and it was excellent. We booked our shore excursions though NCL- they were very organized and good. We saw three shows and were very pleased with the high level of quality entertainment. We travelled with my 81 year old ...

Baltic cruise with children exceeding expectations except for the kids club

After reading some of the reviews and complaints about NCL in general and their megaships I was a bit hesitant to book this cruise. It was our first time with NCL. having previously sailed with Disney and Celebrity. I am happy to say my fears were unfounded. Embarkation in Copenhagen went smoothly. We started out with lunch at Taste, which was great, and then headed back to our cabin - a 5 ...
