We picked this cruise for our honeymoon because it went to Honduras and Belize which we had never been to before. While booking, we were excited about the free at sea options, we picked the beverage package and either the $50 to dining or WiFi (can’t remember). None of that mattered though because once we boarded, we didn’t have the drink package or anything else. We went to guest services and ...
A friend recommended it, my first cruise, it was average experience. Disappointed in the staff as it pertained to our maintenance issue.quality of food on the buffet was disappointing, the dining rooms had more quality food. The pool area was over taken by a younger crowd, the sexy legs contest turned into a raunchy chip and dale act. The music was loud and made it difficult to talk near the pool ...
ROOMS
Toilets wouldn't work almost the entire week. We didn't know from one hour to the next if it worked or not. We would always first flush to see if it worked and if so go. If not, then we would travel to another part of the ship to use the restroom. If you forgot to flush first, and it didn't work, then we would be on the phone with guest services asking them to manually flush our ...
Where to start....the entertainment was lacking, the comedians were not funny at all and appeared lazy and disinterested in their acts. The magician did a few card tricks that I have seen multiple times before and then he was finished, no real magic tricks just some bad humor. There was only one good show, Burn The Floor. The pool deck was a joke (there should be another pool and less slides), ...
We chose this cruise because it fit our schedule and the ports. I was hesitant because of the size of the ship and the amount of people on board. I was surprised because even with 4000 people, it really never felt crowded. The buffet in the morning was a little hectic but other than that everything ran smoothy. Embarkation and disembarkation was quick and smooth. Getting on and off the ship ...
We were on the Western Caribbean Cruise to Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. We had a great cruise. The only trouble spots were embarking and disembarking the boat. We stood in very long lines for a very long time and almost missed our flight home. The boat was also very crowded. I couldn’t believe there were only 2 small pools on the boat. We were barely able to get in the water with ...
I will try to be brief and to the point.
First the hits
1. Embarkation was very smooth. You go in by groups and can be enjoying the buffet by 12:30.
2. The entertainment is very good. The "Rock of Ages is killing it, however it is not appropriate for children or guests who are easily offended by sexual innuendo and scantly clad dancers. Burn the floor is excellent though I recommend ...
Everyone keeps asking me what was the best part of my cruise and I keep saying EVERYTHING! REALLY!!! The staff was great and the cruise director was full of life, smiles, and energy! The room was a good size for two people. Our housekeeper was great and he left us nice notes everyday. The dining was good except for one night but hey that was still fine because they made up for it the next day!!! ...
I have been on over 35 cruises my second in two years on the Breakaway.
FOOD
The food was still good, however it really irks me that they have done away with Lobster night. Also seemed to be a lot more nickel and diming the customers.
ROOM
Our room steward was the worst I have ever experienced. After 2 straight mornings of him running the vacuum in the hall at 8 am, I asked him ...
The frustrating: Beginning at embarkation, things were just rough. The people checking us in were unfriendly, and our keys to our rooms were not correct. Once on board, the main water slides were not working (the entire week), the adult only pool was closed (the entire week), and customer service was deplorable. Customer service was not only rude to me, but I heard them be very rude to several ...
