We had a great time on this ship! Loved the entertainment! Six was amazing! The Waterfront was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view! Especially at Shakers, the martini bar. Do yourself a favor and try the Rum Cake Martini as an after dinner drink!
The ropes course was lots of fun! Our only real complaint was the chair hogging around the pool deck. Wish more was done to prevent this. ...
The entire cruise seemed to be focused around getting people as drunk as possible so they do not pay attention to the overcrowded ship with very poor options when it comes to entertainment and activities. Boasting the smallest pool on the seven seas, you would have to wake up at 4 am to get a decent spot at the pool. I didn’t see the staff remove anyone’s items from the lounge chairs when they ...
The staff provided very good service. Our butler and cabin attendant did a great job. The entertainment was very good and the food was good.
However, My wife and I contracted a ship-borne virus on the afternoon of the 4th day of the cruise. We both received numerous injections and 2 days of IV medications, after two trips to the Medical Center in wheelchairs. We spent the remainder of the ...
This was our 15th cruise and 3rd on NCL. I had a great time but that said, would probably pick a different class of ship next time. This was the largest ship we have been on and think we prefer the 3,000 passenger size better. Breakaway had a ton of options to try but if you are looking for a traditional ship feel then this wasn’t it.
Embarkation at Port Canaveral was the smoothest and ...
I have sailed on Norwegian four or five times, so I had a pretty good idea what to expect this time and, indeed, this cruise conformed to my expectations. Basically, this is a medium giant ship with lots and lots of activities for kids - minigolf ( the course could use some rehab); ping pong; water slides; rope climbs, bingo etc. Family upgrade cabin 12772 has bunk beds below and from ceiling a ...
Ok, I rarely write reviews however I frequently read them and appreciate the time and thought others put into them. I find it helpful in finding a good fit from similar perspectives so I will give a little background. I will start by saying we are very low maintenance sort of people and not fussed but servers falling over us. We much prefer a friendly and humorous staff, some people love the over ...
The good:
-Boarding process: Left out of Port Canaveral and from the time we arrived via hotel shuttle to the port (around 11, boarding started at 12 on paper but they started early) to the time we set foot on the ship was around 25 minutes. We waited maybe 5 mins at most outside to be let into the terminal and once we started moving, we never stopped other than the check in desk until we set ...
Chose to take my young adult children on a trip post Christmas to bond and have fun. Boat filled to capacity with over a quarter being young kids. Elevators were almost always completely full. Our cabin was slightly small for three of us and the steward left the couch made as a bed the whole week. He was very pleasant and thorough in the cleaning daily. We would not have had dinner ...
The Breakaway was always clean and tidy and in very good shape. The layout is nice. The cabins were small, but well designed. One bummer: no college football was anywhere to be found during the bowl season.
We loved being able to walk around the ship outdoors and sit and chat by the sea. Specialty restaurants were plentiful and nice. We enjoyed Teppanyaki and Moderno. The food at ...
My family has travelled on many cruises (15+) and cannot say we have ever had one bad experience. We have been on Carnival, Princess, Celebrity, and Costa and have never complained or been disappointed with any trip before. We were looking forward to this Norwegian cruise as we had heard that Norwegian cruises had really improved and updated their ships. I can honestly say I was blown away at what ...
