I'm an MSC Diamond Voyager Club member who really likes MSC and is hoping they are successful in the US market.
I cruised on the Divina before and enjoyed the experience so much that I recently jumped at the opportunity to cruise her again a couple of years later.
I couldn't help but notice that something was different this time but I just couldn't immediately point it out. Then it dawned on ...
I am retired and an avid cruiser. I have cruised on most of the major lines. This was my first trip on MSC. I was attracted to it by the price and my desire to try something different. I had read a lot of really terrible reviews so I arrived at the ship with some hesitations. The load in was a headache. Long lines mostly in the sun. My mind is drawing mental pictures of a ship that looks like a ...
This was just an OK cruise. First cruise on MSC. The price was fantastic, which was the primary reason we signed up. We didn't book until early December for a January cruise and they were offering huge deals to fill the boat.
Embarkation was a nightmare. We waited almost 2 hours to get signed in and on the boat. The boat was also at a different dock than it was supposed to be. It was at Dock D ...
This was our first MSC cruise and the best way to put it is that it is very different. First of all, it's a good thing that they are able to incorporate multiple languages in every announcement. It really helps show that they are an "international" cruise. But it gets VERY long. As for entertainment, they introduced EVERYONE. I mean EVERYONE, from the wait staff all the way to the head chef. I ...
I am a veteran of 25 cruises now and wanted to expand my horizons and explore a different cruise line so, I tried MSC based on photos of the ship. BIG mistake. I should have read the reviews first! Embarkation was a disaster with nobody seeming to know what was going on. This ship appears beautiful however, like the screen actress godmother of the ship, Sophia Loren, she is an aging beauty ...
We take cruises quite often, but this was a really disappointing trip. From just getting to the cruise ship we were sent to the wrong terminal as MSC didn't update the terminal on our tickets. We had to walk three terminals over with all of our luggage, then proceeded to wait in an hour long line just to go through one metal detector. Boarding the ship you are hearded with a huge crowd onto the ...
I chose this cruise for the price. My husband and I cruise an average of once per month. This was our first time on a MSC ship. I can't believe the amount of reviewers who wrote to complain about the dumbest littlest things. Yes the ship is crowded after all its sold out. Is it dangerously overcrowded, duh NO!
Food- limited but cooked well and tasty. Great pizza!
Cabin-Spacious ...
MSC Divina, wow where do I even begin... I got off her today, first off we got to the port on sailing day at about 10:45 this is the first cruise I have ever been on that didn’t let you get on the ship before 12 they started boarding everyone at 1-1:15 we got on the ship went to the buffet had lunch they were already out of soup some How even though we were the first ones on the boat? We then go ...
Good price. Six days five night cruise was $179. . Embarkation was average. It takes a bit of time for 2500 people to board a ship so that was not remarkable either way. When we arrived onto the ship we were INUNDATED with a pitch to buy the beverage package about 50 or 60 times in the guest lobby. Once we were given our cabin assignment we were allowed to go to the luncheon. Once again inundated ...
Like many onboard, we booked this cruise because of the ridiculously low price for a 5 day trip.
1. We flew into the area and stayed at the Ramada by the cruise port the night before embarkation, a pretty good option since they have a great indoor pool and they are close to the port. Shuttle was $10 pp, so we decided to take a Lyft to the ship for $14 instead.
2. Embarkation was a ...
