Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

My husband and I have been wanting to do a Mediterranean cruise for many years, but just kept putting in off, due to the dreaded long flight from U.S. to Rome. OMG, this cruise was amazing. We arrived one day prior in Rome, so much to see and do, please plan at least three full days for Rome. The port is about 90 miles from Rome. So, plan ahead on travel time. Our private taxi dropped us off ...

A. Tour of Ship and Search For Food The ship is gorgeous, and really well laid out with ample sets of stairwells and elevators. 8 elevators can be found midship with 3 additional elevators forward. We found sustenance in the Oceanview Cafe on the Deck 14 for a buffet lunch. B. Dinner in the Main Dining Room - 6:00 pm "First Seating" Opus Restaurant is the main dining room (MDR), located ...

We choose this cruise based on the ports. It had longer times in port and went to almost every destination we wanted within 10 days. We were very impressed with our embarkation when we were allowed to board and dine with our friends who were in a lower class than us. We were concierge and they were veranda. The staff in general were very attentive and not pushy to sell things which made ...

We like Celebrity and this was a dream come true itinerary for our honeymoon. Reflection is a beautiful ship and her crew is fantastic. We ate at almost every venue that the ship has to offer, from the Oceanview Cafe (buffet) to the specialty restaurant Murano. (We were in a standard cabin, so no Blu or Luminae for us.) We were underwhelmed with our dinner at the Lawn Club Grill, but everywhere ...

Airport scrum

Early flight meant a taxi pick up at 2.30am arrived and printed boarding cards then had to wait an hour for the bag check in to open. That done another wait for the gate number , boarding was the usual scrum ( why does it have to be like that? ) luckily Rome is only a 2 hour flight so avoided the extras on food and drink. On arrival we were impressed with the number of celebrity staff on hand to ...

Too many problems spoiled our cruise

My husband and I traveled on Celebrity Reflection from Fort Lauderdale (April 13) to Civitavecchia. The vessel is reasonably elegant, our stateroom was comfortable with a large balcony, the room attendant was attentive, and the food was on a par with that of other ships that we have been on. However, our cruise was irredeemably marred by a number of unfortunate experiences and poor ...

Friends who have cruised with celebrity x for many years, recommended it to us, detailing, it was the only way to cruise, we were not disappointed. We went each night to opus restaurant, what an experience, our service team were amazing, made us feel, so special, nothing was any trouble. We always went to buffet dining for breakfast, so much choice, my husband is a very fussy eater, but even he ...

A first transatlantic cruise for us, Fort Lauderdale to Rome on the superb Reflection. Our stateroom attendant Dickson was lovely - very attentive with a pleasant personality and kept our cabin immaculate. The canapés which are delivered each afternoon/evening are not to our taste and I feel they're a waste of time. We hardly used Blu for breakfast which finishes at 9.30am, especially as ...

First Crossing Didn't Disappoint

We are avowed fans of Celebrity Aqua Class and look for cruises where these fares are favorable. We found that in this cruise, and jumped aboard. As far as we're concerned, the real PERK of traveling in Aqua Class is the opportunity it affords to dine in Blu, chat with well-traveled couples over an excellent meal, and share the overall joy of cruising. This was our first TA crossing and we ...
