Holiday of a lifetime

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

What a holiday! This was our first cruise and to say we absolutely loved it would probably be an understatement. Embarking to begin with was very easy and quick. We arrived at the port around 11am and were on the ship around half an hour later with no problems. The cabin was bigger than we had expected, I found lots of room for all our bits and bobs, travelling from Ireland meant we could ...

We have had a variety of cruise experiences over almost 40 years, starting with a Rhine Cruise on KD Line, family cruises on, Costa, RC, Carnival and Princess, couples cruises on Renaissance, Sea Dream, Windstar, Star Clipper, Orient Line and Oceania, and in the last 15 months cruises on Oceania, HAL, Viking and Crystal. We chose this cruise because we invited some friends who had cruised ...

Celebrity Reflection, March 11, 2019, veranda cabin 6199 We consider the Celebrity Reflection the best ship in the fleet currently. The ship itself is in excellent condition and is well run by the staff. This particular cruise was essentially up to the standards expected of Celebrity. The food and service were generally good. There were no issues with deck chair availability. My time ...

Our second time on the ship was excellent. Th ship has wonderful, friendly and attentive staff. The ship is kept in top notch condition. We enjoyed the option of the indoor pool when it was to hot to stay out in the direct sun for more than a few hours. The entertainment, both on board staff and visiting entertainers was super. We ate at four of the specialty restaurants, and made sure to buy ...

Pretty good, but a few weaknesses that need to be addressed

On the Reflection for an 11-day cruise to Grand Cayman, Cartagena, Panama, Costa Rica, Cozumel. All in all, pretty good. The ship was well-maintained and it didn't seem overly crowded. Staff generally friendly and helpful, especially in main dining room. The food was very good. However, a number of dishes had too much salt. Even with that, it was as good food as I've had on a cruise. I'd give ...

First off our cabin attendant Gusti was amazing, I don't know how he was so good at getting or room cleaner and organized when we hardly ever saw him. A very pleasant individual and interesting to talk to. Our MD room head waiter Ronald and his assistant Greg where wonderful. One of the gentlemen with us has an allergy and Ronald was right on top of it. Even questioning some of the items that ...

We have cruised Celebrity several times and this was our first disappointment. The entertainment was boring, no comedian, no musician, limited entertainment throughout the day, shows were repetitive hence if you have been on Equinox you have seen the shows. Food was nothing to write home about, the Opus dining room was tasteless but the Buffet food for dinner was so much better. The Tuscan was a ...

We had chosen this trip to fit in with our cruise on Celebrity Edge, so it was about timing rather than itinerary. We were lucky enough to have sailed this itinerary before, so knew what to expect. Sailing from the new Celebrity terminal at Port Everglades was really wonderful, and so straightforward, We were in a Sky Suite, so were able to take advantage of the dedicated drop off area, and ...

We booked this cruise for the opportunity to see Mardi Gras and New Orleans and Grand Cayman. The Reflection was a very nice boat, very clean and well-maintained. Our cabin steward Richard was absolutely outstanding. The cruise director Eddy Jenkins was also a plus. His "10 things" talks in the Reflection Theater were better than any of the shows we saw which were contrived and ridiculously ...

The whole experience was amazing . The entertainment was great - perhaps with the exception of the comedian who was an acquired taste. Big Mike is and his music was just exceptional and the shows were spectacular . We loved the not the three tennors and the acrobat shows which were stunning. All the staff were kind and helpful. the food also excellent and so much of it. There were plenty of ...
