Wife and I have only been on one previous cruise (Diamond Princess) prior to the Carnival Breeze.
We have always heard about Carnival being the budget party boat and have neglected to take a Carnival ship. Since moving to Texas we have heard generally good comments about the Breeze.
We decided to take a Caribbean cruise and take our Nieces and Nephew along. Price point was attractive along ...
I chose this cruise for the ship. This was the biggest ship we have been on and it did not disappoint. The shows were great, the comedians were hilarious and the food was fantastic. The maître d went out of his way to accommodate a special request from my daughter. The wait staff was funny and friendly and made diner time a wonderful experience. If you find a waiter/waitress that you like, be sure ...
Restaurants seems like a cafeteria, no linen on table. Once you were served you entrée, it was difficult to get the attention of a server to bring additional bread, butter or any other item you might need. Servers danced on tables during dinner. This was part of the "entertainment". On the Lido deck in the buffet the glasses were small plastic ones like a toddler would use on the and no servers ...
After waiting over a year from when we booked, the day finally arrived and we boarded the Breeze for our 7 days cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
First the positives - Our room steward and dining staff were top notch! They work their tails off and their pride in their work shows! The show "Flick" was OUTSTANDING! Don't get off the ship without having ordered a BLT from room ...
This may be the best ship in the Carnival fleet, but it still has it's shortfalls. For a ship that just came out of drydock, there seemed to be quite a bit of small items that needed fixing, like stair skids. Why were they not all new?
Some of the lay out was unusual, like the adults only Serenity area. It was just forward of the water slides. How quiet could that be?
Dinning: Why are so ...
Was on the Carnival Breeze with my 2 daughters(7 and 12) July 8th thru the 16th out of Galveston. We used Galveston Limo shuttle(highly recommend), nice drivers that were right on time. Boarding the ship did take a little while but we were so excited we didn't care.
Once on the ship about 1 pm we went right to the lido deck. Waited about 45 minutes in line for the Mongolian wok place. Didn't ...
This was my first cruise and hooked me for life. The amenities were a tad out dated and pools crowded on sea days. That's about all on the downside.
Food was great. Drinks were amazing. Staff was attentive and extremely friendly. We spent our mornings on our balcony after our early morning coffee delivery. Was initially bummed there was no coffee pot in the room but it was always delivered on ...
This was our 2nd cruise on the beautiful Carnival Breeze. Cruise Director had big shoes to fill since last year I cruised with the Amazing Jaime Dee. But Schwartz was awesome. He Entertained with lots of energy and we could tell he loved what he was doing everyday!!! The shows and the cast were amazing as well. Before we left we heard a lot of people talk about how they were disappointed ...
I will not cruise out of Galveston in July ever again. Too hot. Too many kids. Although I did say that two years ago after a cruise on the Magic.
There were 8 of us in three cabins; two suites and a balcony room all in a row. We were maybe the 20th guests to get on board because we had FTTF and we booked suites. We don't normally book a suite but this was for my mom's 70th birthday and we ...
This was our 6th cruise (3rd with Carnival.) And our most disappointing. The food and service in dining room was nothing to get excited about and we ate in the buffet more than on any other cruise. And although there were signs asking guests not to do this, it was not uncommon to see women wearing nothing but bikini swimsuits through the Lido deck buffet areas. They offered the exact same menu ...
