This 14 day cruise was our 30th overall and 19th with Carnival. I found for the most part a typical Carnival experience (good) The ship is kept spotless and the staff is the friendliest we have ever seen. Practically everyone greeted us with a smile and was very polite...The stage shows were IMO lacking. In 14 days we only had 3 musicals and one was terrible. (cowboy show) Other nights we were ...
We booked the Breeze out of Galveston after having lucked-into a fantastic deal on airfare and finding only two choices available for our dates; the other being RCCL's Liberty of the Seas, which we have sailed before as well as having sailed it's sister, the Freedom, recently. We thought to change it up a little and with 3 previous Carnival cruises under our belts, we felt like we knew what we ...
This was a 20th anniversary cruise for the Mrs. and I. We originally booked a balcony cabin but a few months later I remembered how much she liked the cloud 9 spa. A couple of calls later I moved our booking to the extended balcony suite on deck 11.
Arrival was as per usual other than the driving thunderstorm that greeted us in Galveston. The Premier guest lounge was nice with a decent ...
Arrived in Galveston the day before and glad we did due to road construction, two separate wrecks, and stormy weather. The next morning we Allowed 2 hours for the drive from Webster to Cruise Terminal in Galveston and were still over an hour late for our a Check In time so we were sent to the holding area for Early/Late Check In. My husband dropped off me and our luggage at the Terminal, drove to ...
It was raining when we arrived at port on embarkation day but made it to the terminal with no problems, we were some of the lucky ones. We had check in time of 12:30 - 1:00 and had no wait at all. Might have been 30 minutes from getting off shuttle from parking to on the ship. Rooms were ready with in 5 minutes so we dropped our bags and off we went.
We have been on both the Dream and the ...
This was our first cruise for our family. Everything was going great up until the 3rd day. That night I woke up with stomach pains and was pretty much sick for the rest of trip. My family enjoyed it, but after about 5 days, we were ready to come home (especially sick me). Our room steward was amazing! He did a great job making sure our room was clean every day. The wait staff at the restaurants ...
This cruise was my least favorite that I have taken so far. I didn't read the August 2018 reviews prior to leaving, now that I have returned and read these reviews, I find it upsetting to see that the same problems that I experienced have been going on for awhile and Carnival has not done anything to fix this. Of course I understand that sometimes it is difficult to fix crew members' attitudes. I ...
The reason we took this cruise is because I played in the Carnival PokerPro NLH Poker Tournament.
This was our 18th cruise on Carnival; our 3rd cruise on the Breeze; our 2nd cruise in a Cove Balcony (my wife has discovered that she likes to be close to the water); and our first cruise out of Galveston, TX (and our last – more on that later). We have been to the destinations many times on ...
My wife and I just came back from doing the Western Caribbean on the Breeze, and we had a great time. Embarkation was smooth and fast, debarkation not so fast but still OK. Entertainment was pretty good, with the highlight being the tag-teaming comedians (. . . .More comedy than I have even seen on a ship). But the real highlight, surprisingly, was the food.
After cruising multiple times ...
I wish I could combined bits of the Royal Caribbean cruise we took 3 years ago (awesome food and service, adherence to dress code (cover-ups and shoes required in all areas other than the pools), hand sanitizer use encouraged to all guests entering buffet area) with bits of the Carnival Breeze cruise we took last week (LOVED the PG-rated comedy shows).
Food on the Breeze was average, although ...
