It's a great cruise for families! A little too low key at times.

I have been on several cruises, but I wanted to take my niece who just turned 13 on something more family friendly. We accomplished this even though I do have a few critiques and personal preferences that will probably lead me to a different cruise line next time, my biggest objective was a family friendly cruise with clean shows, etc. The Disney Dream was family friendly in every way! ...

Although the Disney experience including all of the crew made us feel like royalty, the serving staff, which was the same each meal, made us feel like part of their family. I have never felt more effort put forth to empathize with our feelings from anyone short of actual family. Thank you Denesha, Ali, and Andrea (Asst Server). We did not become acquainted with Valaiporn (Stateroom Host) but ...

This was our 2nd time on the Disney Dream and it was just as good as the 1st cruise 2.5 years ago. The service is excellent and DCL doesn't nickel & dime you to death like other cruise lines do. We had no problems at embarkation or disembarking. Our cabin was plenty big enough and the split bathrooms are great when getting ready for dinner. The verandah was a nice change of pace to relax while ...

Arrived at the port about 45 minutes before our on boarding time. Perfect timing! Our slot was called as we arrived to upper level. No real lines or wait. It was amazing! We brought 2 bottles of wine and a 6 pack of beer to enjoy during our travels. They introduce you when you board. Seriously cool. We stayed on the 9th level with a verandah. The quite outside space was perfect after a busy ...

Disney is NOT for adults!

My husband and I were invited by a group of friends to join them on a Disney cruise. After sailing many, many times on Carnival and RCI, we decided to give it a try because we've heard so many great things about how much more superior Disney is, even for an "Adult" vacation. Well, it was quite disappointing. The "Adult only" area is positioned right outside their concierge floor so kids are ...

This was our first cruise on Disney. We have done several on Royal Caribbean, plus a few on Carnival, Princess and Norwegian. My wife and I took our 3.5 yr. old daughter along. She loved it. Overall it was a great trip, so see below for more details (in no particular order): Check-in: We arrived at the port around 11 ish (our assigned check-in time was 12:30, but no one seemed to care). We ...

took the whole family on a Florida holiday finishing it with a Disney Cruise. Seven all together (2kids and 4 adults). The food was first class and the entertainment for both adults and kids was superb. The theme dining was great, with a good choice on the menus, even for the people who like just plain food. The waiters and staff were great. Nothing was a problem for them. I will ...

I chose Disney again for my cruise. This was our third time cruising and it was a mother-daughter cruise. My daughter is 9. The Disney Dream is a large ship with tons of amenities. Here are the Postiives: (1) The Oceaneer Club (for Kids 3-12) was fabulous. This club was so tricked out, as the youngsters say, that I did not want to leave it. It has "Andy's Room" from Toy Story, a Star Wars ...

A Mixed Experience

We--grandparents, daughter, and 8 yr old granddaughter-- sought a three generation family vacation experience. If this 3 night Disney cruise had met our expectations, we planned to take another cruise or two with Disney before our granddaughter gets too old for it. First, the best aspects: the nightly shows were first-rate and fun for all of us; the main dining alternative decor, selection, ...
