WoW!! We planned this cruise a year ago. We are a family of 4 on our 3rd cruise. We travelled with another family of 3, first-timers. This ship has EVERYTHING!! We were bored NOT AT ALL!! The kids had a blast. After a full week, there are spots on this ship we still have not seen. The food was excellent. I think the best food of any ship I've been on. Bar staff was fabulous! One ...

The bigger ships are our favorites as the shows, food and comfort are top notch. Might be a little more expensive but in our opinion well worth it. Even thought we had seen the show's on previous cruises they still were outstanding. In fact in the Comedy Club we roared over the male performer. Service was outstanding and because we had a JS we ate in Coastal Kitchen most nights with Sabor's ...

One of RCL's largest ships in their fleet. We had a close to full ship on our cruise and it surprisingly didn't feel crowded. Overall I gave this cruise a 10/10. Some tips if you are considering this cruise. 1. Book a later dinner time, we did ours at 8pm and never had to wait (both for coastal kitchen and MDR). 2. If you have a late dinner time the pool areas and solarium are empty ...

Great for people with kids or who need a lot of activity

This was a sort of last minute cruise. We generally sail with Celebrity on smaller ships. We cruised on the Edge the week before this cruise, and thought it would be fun to "compare and contrast" and try a huge ship. The two experiences were night and day. This review will be a little odd, as my intent is to inform on our experience, and the experience of those with kids. Embarkation: ...

Went with a group of friends who had been on the sister ship a year or two ago and liked it. Boarding was easy as was exiting ship on last day, well organized. Entertainment top shelf, shows were all terrific, Ma Mia cast exceptional. They also started in the other main show as well. Food overall was very good and plentiful. Ate mainly at main dining room at night, waiters bent over backward to ...

Great ship but too many chair hogs

Amazing beautiful ship!! The food and service were great, but buffet was way too small and chair hogs were rampant and the crew seemed to do nothing about it. We had the bogo dining package and went to Giovanni's and Samba grill. Giovanni's had the best fillet mignon I've ever had. It was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Kadir was our server and he was incredible as well. The ...

Fifth cruise with RCI - will be the last

We were a little apprehensive about this cruise ship having previously been on the Oasis and concluded that these ships are just too large and the ratios of staff to passengers is poor generally resulting in a somewhat underwhelming overall experience. However it was a celebration cruise and the itinerary was the reason for joining this particular cruise. We only started cruising 8 years ago, ...

Requires some adjustments

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

This was our first cruise on the Oasis class, fifth on Royal Caribbean and fifteenth overall. The ship was at capacity with 6500 passengers and 2500 crew. With that many people there are a few unique adjustments. To attend any of the shows and some special events to need to make a reservation. We were anytime dining which also requires a reservation. Since no venue on the ship can come close ...

We have sailed RCC many times and on many different ships, and with each successive time food quality had continued to disappoint us. I am happy to report we noticed a significant difference in quality and choice of food on the Allure. Embarkation went very smoothly and we got on the ship quickly. Debarkation also went smoothly and we chose to take our own luggage off. There is a bit of a ...

We have been avid RCL cruise customers for years, but I am not so sure that will continue into the future. We selected this cruise as a birthday trip for my daughter, The ship looked great and this would be our first Oasis Class ship, well the ship is beautiful but the crew is Rude!!!!!!! . the room stewart was the works we have ever encountered, the restaurant wait team was not interested in ...
