This was a last minute cruise decision. While embarkation process went smoothly, the whole process takes place past the stern of the boat, so once you check in, you have to walk and carry your carry on's to the bow of the boat to board the board and than if you or like us, with a aft room, you have to walk all the way to the aft of the boat to get to your room and get your room key. So when you ...
Sailing with relatives who chose dates.
Smoke filled Casino and atrium.
Food was just mediocre with extreme lines and poor access/ accommodations for passengers.
Many times people just gave up waiting. I had to wait 20 mins or more for salmon at dining room, because I wanted it well cooked. Everyone at the table was finished when I finally got it and it was not even close to well done. I ...
I cruised Carnival about 10 years ago and decided to give them another try since we had my 7 year old grandson with us, boy that was a mistake ....not impressed!
First the good......It was super easy getting on board and my grandson loved going to ocean camp. The Ports were great and loved the Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana taco place.
Now on to the not so good....First of all our room was ...
I was looking for a great family vacation, we have school aged children. I had some hesitation about Carnival seeing as they have a "hard partying" reputation. We had a blast! There were so much to do for the kids and our ports were amazing. We enjoyed the food in the dining room and the Lido deck very much. My daughter and I are vegetarians and we always had plenty of options. The crew ...
I chose this cruise because of timing, port location, and size of the ship. I thought the overall cruise was great. I thought the food at every restaurant was great. The staff was also great. Entertainment all good. My only issue was having late dining. I was wait listed to change to early dining. Once on board, I spoke with the maître d. They would not change me to early. I explained to ...
I chose the cruise based on the date and ports of call (Amber Cove, Dominican Republic
St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk). We have been on many cruises on different cruise lines however I was really impressed with Carnival on this trip. It really seemed like they were making huge upgrades especially with the food quality in the Dining Room, and the exceptional service of the staff. Our ...
We wanted to getaway after the loss of a family member. We booked through Triple A in Phillipsburg, NJ. We decided on a Western Caribbean cruise. We booked the Carnival Magic since we had been on the Carnival Valor before and we had a great time. The ship was very clean and repairs and maintenance was performed on a regular basis. The maintenance did not effect our cruise experience. Our cabin was ...
We enjoyed the Magic very much. Our balcony room was standard and had enough room for the 3 of us. Lismani, our room steward, was very nice and efficient. We requested morning service only and it worked great for us. He had a towel animal waiting for us each day:) We did not do any excursions this trip, just did our own thing. Spent the day at Amber Cove's pool, went snorkeling at Coki Beach ...
I chose this cruise based on the itinerary. I'm not necessarily always looking for the newest or biggest ship. I stayed in room 8375/midship balcony. It was the perfect room- sandwiched between two floors of staterooms only. And a few levels in either direction for food and entertainment. Breakfast was great. Usual breakfast items available with surprisingly short lines and plenty of seating. ...
Overall, the Carnival Magic was average. The ship is dated. The ship reeked of cigarettes public areas. Smoking areas were in prime locations such as deck above the pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas.
The ship really needs to update the internet. We cancelled our Value plan since it would download emails after two days attempt.
Carnival should take the Muster presentation much ...
