Lackluster Ship; Spectacular Excursions

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was a group cruise planned for 2 yrs with close to 30 people traveling together. I have been on multiple cruise lines and am a repeat cruiser to Carnival. This was my first time leaving out of New Orleans. The luggage drop off at the parking garage was so smooth. The waiting area for your wait for your specified embarkation time was somewhat crowded but tolerable, the boarding and ...

This was our first cruise. We chose this ship because we live in New Orleans. We chose this particular cruise because it included a stop in Jamaica. We had a check in time of 10-10:30. We got downtown around 9:45, but by the time we parked (Fulton Garage), took the shuttle, and eventually found a porter for our bags, we did not get inside to begin check in until almost 11. We were assigned zone ...

I felt the need to leave a review about this cruise because there are quite a few things that seems to have changed with Carnival cruise lines and I figured someone needed to say something. My hubby and I decided to take this particular cruise because we had a group of friends who were also going, and we like to cruise for family vacations simply because it's easier than most family vacations. ...

A Dream of Average!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our 2nd time on the Dream, with the first being last year. They changed the menu this year and for us it wasn't for the better. you have the standard pizza & ice cream that you can't go wrong and the Salad buffet gave plenty of choices but the dining room was just average this time around. The Cruise Director Brandon was pretty good, the comedy was above average, but the shows ...

This is our second cruise with this itinerary on the same ship, so we had a really relaxing time even with our 7 1/2 year old with us. This review is just to highlight a few parts of this cruise as we kept pretty low key...and this cruise was back in April so Im a bit late. Dining: Our waiters in the MDR were fantastic, but the kitchen was S L O W. One night it took nearly two full hours to ...

Just returned from a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Dream, sailed out of New Orleans. Our party included myself and my husband (both 28), our 2-year-old daughter, and my parents (my mom just retired and this was our celebration for her). We arrived in New Orleans a day prior to the cruise and stayed at the Homewood Suites (on Poydras St), which was a fine place to stay for ...

love carnival, they give you the best value for you money. they always gives us a fun cruise. out of 20 cruises we have never had a bad cruise with them. we have cruised royal and Norwegian and have found we get more with carnival. our cabins seem bigger and the service is better on carnival and the food seems the same on all cruise lines though. some say theirs are better but what we found is ...

Carnival never disappoints. The food was great, the comedians were great, the shows were average, and the staff was exceptional! Shout out to Tina, our cabin steward, who went out of her way to make my bed comfortable and to Veronika, the waiter's assistant in the dining room who always had a smile on her face and who always found a way to make every single guest feel special. Even though this ...

We have been on many cruises mostly carnival but one RCL and two NCL. My husband and I were traveling with my sister and her husband spring break week. We picked the dream because it was a different port for us, New Orleans seemed like a fun start and we wanted to try a large ship. We flew in and stayed at the Embassy Suites and in the morning had an easy walk to the ship, even rolling our ...
