Dream Cruise with the Grandkids

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Embarkation was disorganized and took a long time. You signed up for a boarding time, but the line was so long, and no one knew where to go if it was your boarding time. I was told to go to one line, so half of our group went through, but the rest where turned back and had to go to the back of the long line, so much for boarding times. No programs were provided for the kids programs on ...

We went on the cruise to try to get our love back but I ended up getting food poisioning from the blacken mahi mahi and was confined to my room until Tuesday I finally get a chance to go out with my wife and walk into the hall and smell the worst odor that I shouldn't have smelled. The room ac was never up to par especially after the heavy black smoke came from the smoke stack n the captain saying ...

I have sailed carnival in the past many times and always had a great time this trip was far from great, the second day at sea the captain was on the intercom every five to ten minutes saying there was smoke in the engine room but everything was ok after that much reassuring I felt I was being lied to. The air conditioning on first floor was out and the rooms were almost unbearable until the last ...

This cruise was the absolute BEST cruise I have been on. It was a family and friends cruise with 13 people. We had a FABULOUS time. My room was a cove balcony on the Dream. I loved it. We choose early dining and each night my meal was fabulous. The service was top notch. I purchased the bottomless beverage program and it worked out perfect for me. The one thing that made this cruise so great was ...

We chose this particular cruise because we wanted to see Jamaica, Grand Cayman and top it off with a visit to Tulum. We were also excited to sail out of New Orleans and cruise on the Mississippi River. We were late leaving port but that wasn't a big deal. It was a thrill to experience the 8 hour trek down the Delta towards the Gulf of Mexico. Our retaurant staff was excellent! Joseph (Sri ...

Embarkation was a breeze and actually quite exciting. The cruise line personnel were extremely friendly, organized and informational. It took only about forty-five minutes from when we left the parking garage to sitting on the Lido Deck! Disembarkation was smooth as well. This was a "girls" trip and we had a wonderful time. We chose aft balcony rooms and they were quite spacious and the decks ...

Carnival Dream Review - June 5-12, 2016 - just returned Before I start the review, let me say that after 18 cruises, this was BY FAR the absolute BEST cruise we've had....the CD/staff/entertainment/casino/customer service, etc on the Dream was TOP NOTCH!! It was the most organized embarkation and debarkation of ANY port! Now, having said that, I'm going to make some reflections on some things ...

This was our second trip on the dream as we sailed last april. my husband and 2 children( ages 10 and 13) were together on the 9th floor. this year we booked a balcony which was awesome, and we will never not have a balcony again. The location was convenient to everything. We sailed to jamaica, montego bay (nothing special), the port is horrible nothing to do or see. We went to a beach ...

A Few Highlights, a Few Lowlights, Especially Nightly Entertainment; Really Bad

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Had been on Pride last year, this trip on Dream the staff didn't seem as helpful or friendly. The nightly entertainment was sub par, the production and costumes were so bad it was insulting. The service in the main dining room was slow and inattentive. The menu choices were not as appealing as last year. Our room was good except for a loud water rushing sound the whole trip in our bathroom. ...
