We were looking forward to this cruise as we've been on two other Norwegian ships (Jewel, Jade) and had fantastic experiences. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the Epic as we did the others. We will not seek to sail the Epic again. The layout of the ship lead to several bottle necks where the crowds flowing through a deck often came to a stand still because of tight areas or lines of people waiting ...
I chose this cruise because we wanted to go back to Tortola and Carnival no longer sails there on 7 night cruises. This was my first Norwegian cruise and I had a good time but I am going back to Carnival. Having the drink package turned out to mean you had to go get your own drinks because they do not have enough bar staff and they don't care if you get a drink or not because they already have ...
Living in Florida makes it much easier to cruise. We have left out of Miami, Tampa, and Port Canaveral with no issues. Judging by some of the reviews commenting on the disembarkation process I would recommend getting off the ship no later than 7:30 as we had no issues at all, in fact we were in the car in less than 15 minutes from the time we got in line. Friends who tried leaving at 8:00 had over ...
We choose this cruise because we had taken the Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl and had a wonderful time. The cruise was not worth the money we had to pay. First there were problems with the ship which delayed us 6 hours. There were college students everywhere. We had to stand in long lines to get a drink. Loud partying all night in the halls and on the balconies. Forget getting a specialty ...
I don't even know where to start! The rooms are horrible! A suite should not be called a suite! A family of 4 cannot fit in the room! A curtain separating the bathroom, who's idea was that no privacy! With the drinking package, you still get charged for the mini bar! Bottle Water is not included! The rooms were tiny. The bartenders were rude! They all had attitudes. Some ignored you at the bar. At ...
We had been on this cruise ship a few years ago and had not particularly liked it then due to the size of the cabins and the fact that you had to book dinners and shows ahead of time because of the size of the ship. We had gotten a good deal through the casino and thought we would try it again. Well, we picked the wrong time of year to go on it this time. Of course I knew it was spring break, ...
We just returned from sailing on NCL Epic (3/11-3/16/19). This was our 8th cruise overall and the 2nd time sailing with NCL. We were blown away by the mind-numb robots posing as NCL Crew members. Hardly any of them acknowledged our presence during the 5-night cruise. I do have to say that our cabin steward on deck 13, Wilbert, was always pleasant to talk with and exceeded our expectations. The ...
I was a little nervous about cruising on the Epic because of the many mixed reviews. We booked a 5 night cruise to Cozumel & Great Stirrup Caye (Norwegian's Island) because it was a really great price. We were in cabin 14048 which is a "Family Mini Suite Balcony" cabin. We were right around the corner form The Splash Academy so I was a little worried about noise. My husband and myself have NEVER ...
This was our 9th cruise at Spring break and never have we been disappointed like we were on this cruise. The ship, our balcony cabin, entertainment and the food were excellent. The restaurant service was very good and our room streard was over the top great.
However the bar service was dreadful, and this was the theme at every bar. Either the bartenders are poorly trained or just quite ...
Yes, I would probably rate the cruise a five star if my family and I wanted to be imersed in a frat party environment.
Now keep in mind my wife and I have only been on 1 cruise in our lives and it was with Holland America. So the bar was already high.
Decided on the Norweigen epic and booked before all the mishaps with the ship. Have two children girl 10 and boy 12.
I will never book a ...
