Loyal Princess cruises, wife picked the cruise as she wanted us to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, Sadly we didn’t because, A) too expensive, B) Got sick with the Flu as grotty people coughed all over me. Alcohol prices outrageous, a bottle of Kim Crawford Pinot Noir cost over $50 AUS but you can get it for $16 on-shore. Rod Stewart Tribute guy, stank! Had to leave after 3 songs. guy ...

Worst Cruise EVER! I lost 4 lbs on the cruise - worst food

This was the worst cruise I have ever been on. I lost 4 lbs which tells you about the food. The service, excepting our cabin steward, were all people who needed training - from the dinning room where they rushed our meals even setting the next place setting before you finished the last course - to the customer service desk where no one knew the systems or could make a decision without it going ...

Probably last Princess

We chose this cruise mainly due to the itinerary, to fall in the middle of a month long trip to Australia. I do take the responsibility of not considering the amount of sea days vs port days. Four ports on a ten day cruise was too few, with three of the four being tender ports (too many tender ports). We are a couple in our late 50’s and felt drastically out of place on this mainly ...

I had a good time with my friends always enjoyed princess cruises. The food was good with a spread of selections. The DaVinci and Michaelangelo restaurants were great. The ship is clean and beautiful. The staff is always very helpful and attentive to our needs. The cabin we are in the semi suit which is very spacious for the 4 of us. The nice guy assigned to our cabin Mr Reynaldo Curitana kept our ...

I will preface this review by stating I have been on over 28 cruises. I've sailed just about every cruise line out there or sold it while I was a travel agent. I Just returned from 18 days on the Ruby Princess. We boarded in Auckland, which was the last 8 night leg of the reposition cruise that started in Vancouver. We Stayed on for a continuation cruise of 10 days which did round trip Sydney. ...

Princess Ruby - Sydney Brisbane airlie beach Yorkers knob port Douglas. Oct 2019 We went on sun princess the week before and getting on the Ruby Princess was hopeful this ship would be better. It was marginally better. Service poor not enough staff in the dining rooms. Staff were excellent trying to provide a good service but just didn’t have enough staff. Food - better than the sun ...

Not one of Princess Cruises' better ships

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

Chose this ship due to the South Pacific itinerary and based on a previous cruise with Princess (Regal Princess). In comparing the two ships, I was disappointed In the Ruby Princess. The entertainment was definitely not the same caliber as with the Regal in terms of variety or quality. The Horizon buffet court had much less selection and was poorly staffed. Often multiple serving sections were ...

Boring

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

Staff were fantastic but this cruise was 95% retirees over the age of 70. The activities were designed to entertain the same age bracket. We are late 40s and found the activities boring and the demographics were way too old. Other than great pools, there was nothing to entertain our age bracket. The internet was terrible, too slow and lots of drop outs. The room service was great, although no ...

Princess needs an overhaul

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

After ten previous Princess cruises on several ships, I've about decided I need to take a break and try another line for a while. The allure of Princess has faded some, though it's hard to switch after becoming an "elite" customer. Food options are much reduced; menus are stale and repetitive; prices continue to escalate for "smaller" items; and the quality of the entertainment is not what it ...

Disorganised Cruise

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

We wanted to see Alaska and the rest of the Cruise was to be a relaxing experience as we had already done most of the remaining Ports. Our impressions of the staff on board (apart from the restaurant staff and room steward which were excellent), specifically at the Customer Desk and the Excursions Counter was that they were not interested in us or our issues, and it was almost as if when ...
