We chose this ship primarily for the itinerary and that friends had been on the ship in Alaska and liked it. It is a sister ship to the NCL Pride of America that we used for our 25th anniversary group cruise around Hawaii and we thought that ship was nothing special, but fine. I actually liked the Jade far better. With the refurbishment done not long before our cruise, it felt like a brand new ...
My wife and I have always wanted to visit Ireland, Scotland and re-visit England. The Jade cruise stopped at several of the ports we wanted to see. While the overall experience was very, very enjoyable, the cruise was perhaps two-days too long. At the 12-day duration, perhaps spending two days in Dublin and Glasgow would have been more enjoyable than some of the smaller ports of call.
The ...
It was a cruise of misinformation. I(and MANY) and others feel as if we were on a practice cruise. Staff could NOT answer simple questions such as... where is an ATM, a bank, a place to exchange money., what do I do when I disembark tomorrow, et.al..While overall the staff was VERY nice, friendly(as expected) the dining room staff seemed to be new/in training. Food was VERY inconsistent in the ...
I chose this cruise for our sisters cruise. My sister had been on the Jade last year to Cuba. I had wanted to go to Cuba, but my husband wanted to wait until the port is improved. The port is a problem because they have only one slip that will accommodate a cruise ship. We were supposed to have two days in Cuba ,but we ended up leaving at 2:00. We learned from the hotel manager that their ...
We chose this cruise due to it's ports of call and enjoyed it tremendously. The ship is very nice and the staff are always attentive and friendly. The ports of call were all fabulous and we enjoyed every one of them. The embarkation and disembarkation at each port was done as smoothly as could be expected trying to get 2400 passengers on and off. The cabin is definitely small which was ...
Crossing the Atlantic was on the NCL Jade very laid back comfortable way to cross the Atlantic . days passes quickly playing games , meeting people and all the other activities. Loved our quiet cabin on the 4 deck. Sea were calmer then I was expected.
We enjoyed dining at the Jasmine, staff was wonderful. Grand Pacific was very loud and slow service. More staff serving would help. Garden ...
To start with, I was apprehensive about the length of this cruise with the first 7 days at sea. I was especially concerned about communications using wifi while at sea (I'm still working, unlike the majority of passengers) and also how rough the waters might be and if I'd feel sick. I never once felt sick (and I've been seasick on cruises before) and the wifi was fantastic.
I cruised with my ...
We've just concluded a two week transatlantic on the NCL Jade, and this being our 25th or so cruise on NCL we've always been mystified at the "all over the board" ratings. We've also cruised with at least 8 or 9 other cruise lines as well but since we have status on NCL it's our primary choice. First of all, there is no such thing as a "free" drink package except the high end lines, in case ...
We got a bargain rate for the cruise and had never sailed on Norwegian so we decided to do the cruise, which would take us to London after crossing the Atlantic.
All in all, it was a good experience. The embarkation was seamless and we settled in nicely.
As soon as we left Miami, we wound up doing a u turn to Ft Lauderdale to let a sick passenger off the ship! The next day instead of ...
We choose this cruise because we have always had good luck with Norweign. We choose the transatlantic because neither of us had ever been to any of the Ports of stop and the Value was good.
The food was so good and so many options. Best Bacon ever. and their not even Canadian chefs.
We can't wait to book again, and we have only been home a week.
Entertainment was the best we have ever ...
