I am a "cruisecoholic" and have been in many cruises with several cruise lines. This was my first time (and definitely my LAST time) with MSC. The ship barely moved due to technical problems (poor maintenance!), the itinerary kept changing (it's obvious that if you can't move you can't get anywhere...), the food was bad and monotonic, the service was nothing like I am used to in other cruises, the ...
On Armonia 6 weeks ago & decided to go again as a treat. BIG mistake! Embarkation found us in a hot hall with disposable rubber gloves and plastic garbage bags trying to remove our clothes from my husbands bag which was covered with grease... crew was un responsive & said we did it...SERIOUSLY???? Disembarkation was hours standing in a hot lounge with people cutting in line & blaring "music" . ...
We choose this cruise based on price and itinerary. Embarkation was quick and efficient, we boarded 2 hours before the time our cruise ticket stated. We had an interior cabin and size was comparable to other lines. There is not a lot of storage and the shower is extremely tiny but we managed. I loved the decor of the ship especially the rum bar. Food was hit or miss both in dining room and buffet ...
The Armonia is a classy ol' girl full of charm & character... and currently has some of the best crew we have ever experienced in all our cruises- which is saying a lot as we really haven't had a bad cruise... a disappointing cruise or two, but never a bad cruise.
Embarkation was easy peasy, almost as smooth as debarkation.
We noticed the ship was warm in certain spots the first day and a ...
This was our second cruise with MSC. As we live in Southwest Florida, it was wonderful being able to arrive early to begin the embarkation process. Once we used the self-service machines to load money onto our board account, we wandered around the ship a bit before grabbing lunch at the buffet. The buffet was chaotic and the food was not to our tastes. My husband is European and I am American and ...
We just returned from a 2nd cruise on the Armonia. We flew in the day before and spent the night at the Intercontinental downtown, great location and an easy ride to the (Albert) port.
We arrived at the port at 10:45 am check-in was a breeze no waiting and we were on board around 11:30. We headed up to the Lido deck and to our surprise the bartender{ at Girasole remembered us from May ...
Originally chose this cruise for Havanna but for the price and remaining iteniary we decided to go anyway. It was a great decision and we had a great time. Although the ship is a smaller older vessel it is in good shape. This was my first time on MSC so before I booked the Armonia I checked the reviews on Cruise Critic and they were not great....moral of the story go see for yourself.
Only a ...
My husband and I only enjoyed the excursions. The person who cleaned our cabin was great and very friendly. We did not enjoy the food at all. It was the same food for breakfast every day. Lunch and dinner were about the same. The food had no taste, it was cold, not enough option, and it was either over cooked or under cooked. Some of the staff were not friendly and did not greet us sometimes. The ...
Went on the Armonia Oct 21st! Have been on 15 cruises, first MSC. Upon reading the reviews, I was not expecting much as this is an older more basic ship.
Here is my review. The ship itself was VERY CLEAN. No issues there, it does need an update but I think it is going into dry dock soon. We had an Oceanview room on the 9th floor which was fine. Our room steward was excellent and although ...
Suite, 10TH floor, AFT.
Let me start by saying that we have been on 11 cruises, on 5 cruise lines. We have found that not a single cruise line is consistent across their ships in quality of food nor quality service. We have noticed a lack of service across all cruise lines since the advent of pre-paid gratuities. We used to be able to order soda, iced tea, or wine at dinner on the first night ...
