Enjoyable Holiday Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Have always been happy with Celebrity, quality before quantity. The dining experience always enjoyable and work with passengers with food allergies. Loved the glass blowing from Corning Glass Museum. The stage shows are very good. Loved the martini bar, even had virgin martinis so not to get stupid, and also enjoyed the quiet wine cellar. The main complaint was getting on the ship, it was a true ...

Dropped Down a Star but Still My Favorite

I was on Eclipse at the same time last year, and a few things dropped her from 5 to 4 stars. Several times per day, even while eating at the buffet, we were bothered by people trying to sell the specialty restaurants. Going in and out of the buffet, we were hounded by people asking us to upgrade my free classic beverage package to premium. I was told upgrading to premium was the only way I could ...

So, as an individual who enjoys vacationing, I was thoroughly pleased by this 11-night Southern Caribbean cruise on the Eclipse. First, the cruise director, Sue Denning was simply outstanding. Sue is the best cruise director I have ever encountered. Sue is funny, talented (surprised us several times with her vocal renditions), classy, a dresser (those heels), attentive, and guarantees everyone ...

Celebrity is an upscale cruise line with good value. Getting on the ship was extremely easy and very stress free. The quickest we ever encountered. The Celebrity Eclipse had lots of activities to choose from. The cruise director ,Sue, was at most activities and had a great sense of humor. She encouraged participation. She was even on the deck at demarcation. A lot of music choices after the ...

I picked this cruise to get a taste of a few eastern caribbean islands . Embarkation (no status) and Disembarkation (self-assist) was very smooth and quick unlike my experience with RCI in Seattle. In short, the ship was beautiful and clean. All the public restrooms was constantly cleaned and maintained (even next to the main dining room and the buffet area). Dining - food was decent ...

Booked this last minute as we desperately needed a break. Travelled with my mother (80s) and just wanted to relax. We has one week in Miami pre-cruise and boarded the ship the day after temperatures dropped. The Good: Embarkation and disembarkation were the best I have experienced to date Cabin was well laid out with good storage and larger than expected with easy access to elevators and ...

Wonderful 11 Night Southern Caribbean Cruise

We sailed on the December 10th cruise out of Miami for 11 nights. This was our 3rd time on Celebrity, overall 20 plus cruises, last cruise was Oceania. I do have to say that Oceania spoiled us, BUT overall I thought Celebrity did a good job and I would sail her and the Eclipse again. Cabin 6282 - partially obstructed view. You look out over the life boats - not really bothersome at all, ...

We were fortunate to be Aqua class so the cabin was lovely, especially enjoyed the wonderful shower. The food and service in Blu was excellent! The Eclipse is in great shape. The ship is light filled and airy and the décor colors soothing and appealing. Lots of public spaces in which to sit and relax. Plenty of music venues in the evening. Several of the production shows were rather odd ...

Room for Improvement/They're Cutting Back

We choose to go on this cruise because we knew the ship would be decorated for the Christmas holiday and that the price would be considerable lower than the following week. The food in the MDR seem to be lacking or suffering from the cruise line cutting back on either the selection and the choices offered. I have been on 70 cruises, many on Celebrity our favorite cruise line, but it truly is ...

Very good cruise, but a few disappointments at the corporate level

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We choose this cruise because of the incentives: 2nd person half price, classic alcohol package, free gratuities and $300 OBC. That made the total price, including port fees and the OBC, about $110/day for our ocean view cabin. (we usually sail in inside cabins, so this was a step up that was required to get the incentives.) The itinerary was excellent - UNTIL the hurricane occurred. I ...
