We just got back from a wonderful Mediterranean cruise, on Azamara Journey. This cruise line is so wonderful ! We have been on 10 cruises, to date. Azamara has been the most attentive, efficient, kind helpful to its passengers.
From the captain, who greets you every morning with info and is there when you leave the ship for port adventure.

For the most part, we enjoy Azamara, and this was our third, and likely our last, cruise with them. PROS: The onboarding and offboarding processes both went very smoothly. The life boat drill was short and perfect. Overall, the ship is clean, our cabin was nice, and the staff is mostly very accommodating. CONS: No champagne service offered during onboarding this trip. Overall, I would give the cruise about a 4.8. The things that bothered me didn't warrant much of a negative review, so I wouldn't knock the cruise down too much. Previously to this cruise, all of my ocean cruises had been on “value” and “premium” lines (RCCL, Carnival, NCL, Celebrity, Princess). We chose this cruise because it was very well priced on Vacations to Go and we liked the ports. Trouble was, we didn't leave from Venice but Chioggia. So we had to drag our bags from Marco Polo airport a LONG way to a bus to take us to Chioggia and we had to pay, ourselves, for the bus transfers.
