DH, DS, DD, DB (DD's Boyfriend) and I (DW) cruised on the Eurodam over the spring holiday break. Although the ship was reported to be full (nice eclectic passenger group), we never noticed any crowds, perhaps because we spent much of our time lounging in our Retreat and Lido Cabanas. We all enjoyed the cabana experience more than we thought and it was money well spent!
I was quite concerned ...
This cruise was a last minute decision for us. My husband's company opens hotels, and last year all of them were majorly affected and shut down due to hurricanes. We had to airlift our employees out of the British West Indies, and then Puerto Rico. But the stories we heard of the residents there, were heartbreaking. So, the cruise we went on cost us practically nothing, and we wanted to support ...
Embarkation and disembarkation both were handled efficiently. The cabin was comfortable but lacked for storage compared to other ships. This was our first cabin with a balcony, and we enjoyed the ability to step out and/or sit for a bit. The self-chosen dining option worked well, and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. The dining staff were capable, and we enjoyed the food, ...
Chose this cruise because of time of year I can vacation and amount of days that I can do.
Let's start with embarkation, some of the fastest that I have ever done and have done quite a few.Room was OK but small for a handicap room (8026). Room was well taken care of and any thing we needed was handed very promptly.
The one thing that did not impress me was the food ,especially in the ...
The service onboard was outstanding, the food was excellent, and we plan on sailing with HAL and the Eurodam in the future. We pretty simple in our tastes, and don't need ice skating rinks climbing walls, water slides, or big screens on deck to enjoy a cruise. I like the fact that HAL still embraces the traditional Promenade Deck, as a relatively quiet place to relax, read, or take a stroll ...
This was my first cruise, so I chose a 7 day cruise. Our cabin was amazing (Neptune Suite). The Neptune lounge was great. Plenty of goodies to nibble on. It's just a shame the only beverage (free) in the lounge was coffee (free) beverages. Even soda was charged for. (I can see charging for alcohol, but imo soda should be free in the lounge. The concierge (Vincent), was awesome. He fixed and ...
Wow. What a great ship and cruise line. We have been cruising with Princess the last four times and thought it was time for a change. And I’m glad we did! Embarkation and disembarkation were an absolute breeze, service was excellent. From the pool guys to the officers, everyone was wonderful. The ship layout was lovely and simple to navigate. Our verandah room 8014 was lovely and quiet. We never ...
We chose this cruise (14-day back-to-back) because the price was right and we wanted to experience the Eurodam. We've always had good luck with HAL which is why we keep going back. This cruise was no different. HAL caters to folks in our age group (retirees) and generally you can expect a laid back cruise. If you're into rock climbing walls, water slides, arcades, partying into the late hours and ...
We like HAL because it's a good value for your money. First, we look at potential itineraries and cabins available, then we choose accordingly. The back aft Neptune suites that wrap around the corner are our favorites. We only eat at the Pinnacle Grille (5 nights) and the Tamarind (2 nights), so we can't judge the dining room food. The embarkation process worked perfectly for us ... we ...
We went on the Eurodam previously and had a much better experience.
On one particular evening(Weds),there was really nothing to do. No entertainment,
just a movie in an overpacked viewing room. The variety on the TV (movies) was
wonderful. I guess that is because there wasn't much in the way of games or
other activities for passengers to do. Unless Holland changes their ...
