We chose this cruise for an extended family vacation (16 people), several of us having been to Alaska six years ago on a Princess cruise. We were disappointed, especially, in how crowded the ship was. We have taken two previous Princess cruises to Alaska on different ships and did not experience this. The Royal Princess is one of the largest Princess ships, but it seems that they did not increase ...
My mother treated my siblings and our spouses to this Alaskan cruise. There were 4 couples plus our mom. My mom walks with a cane. 5 of us missed our connecting flight and therefore had to meet the boat at the first port, missing the first two days. Fortunately we had purchased the insurance and were able to make the boat with help from the EZ air liaison. They were extremely helpful in getting ...
I just completed my second Alaska cruise and it was amazing but what will make this cruise stand out in my memory was the crew of the Royal Princess. For this trip, I joined five others so we had a group of six and two ended up in wheelchairs just before the cruise. That last fact (ended up in) was important because only one of them had a handicapped room. The cruiser with the wheelchair and ...
I was drawn to the drop and go rate. I was an very good deal. I also let the cruiseline choose my stateroom. I asked for a non obstructed balcony room. We got a handicapped accesible room which was much larger than most. We know this may never happen again but it was a nice large room.
I did enjoy the fact that this cruise was mostly adults. There were very few children under the age of 10 on ...
We took the land part of the cruise first and then rode the train to Whittier where we boarded the ship. The medallion use on the ship was so easy to set up and use. It was so nice not to have a key to board or to open your stateroom door. Embarking and disembarking was easy with the medallion. The ship is huge. It is easy to get lost but the crew is very helpful if that should happen. The ...
We were asked to join a group of family that were planning this trip with their friends. We traveled as a party of 16 - and had a blast!! We booked a land and sea package and added 2.5 additional days in Vancouver, BC. I wish we would have added more time in Vancouver. It is a wonderful city - with so much to offer if you like to hike, bike, eat and drink!
We booked an excursion in every ...
We were on the Royal Princess in May of 2018 and had great time in the British Isle. Decided to book a CruiseTour with Princess on this same ship for my wife's 70th birthday. Selected a Penthouse Suite which cost a pretty penny for this aft facing cabin. Had thought that in Glacier Bay the aft cabin would have two sided balcony and great views. Also added Denali tour leaving from Whitter, AK ...
It has been a dream to visit Alaska, Princess made it possible. Not only was the Cruise fantastic and more, it was a learning experience using Princess. The land and Sea package is superb. Tour guides are everywhere with Princess. Bus Drivers . Hotel Staff, including Housekeeping; food service staff, conductor all are in step with Tourism and Princess Process. It took only a short time to realize ...
Very disappointed in Royal princess.. the food and entertainment was lacking taste! The theater was too small to seat everyone when you did try to go see something! And what they have for entertainment listed Seminars to sale u Botox, acupuncture and art? Really? On a cruise! And push their jewelry on ship and at the ports! The dress up Dinners was a waste of time... and Waiting... the food was ...
We wanted to see the beauty of Alaska on a quiet princess ship like always. No longer. Over 4000 people now on these big ships but the same amount of pool and deck space. Couldn't see the glacier or fjord with all the people. No space at the rail..
Dining? Also down hill. Specialty dining room terrible for the price (steak House). The Italian was better. Not a single quiet area in the ...
