It was slightly less expensive and a unique itinerary. One of our party traveled with a rolling walker. At embarkation NO ONE let us know we could have checked our bags at the curb. We did a "Travel with Alan" group tour (wouldn't recommend) and didn't care for the trays of dirty room service trays left morning, noon, and night in the hallways, as well as all the room cleaning carts, something my husband had to maneuver around post-knee surgery.Not something you see on Holland America cruise ships. This was our families 9th cruise and 3rd with RC (and second on the Liberty of the Seas). While we have a slight preference for Carnival, the price was just too good to pass up. I chose this cruise primarily to upgrade my Crown and Anchor points and also because the original itinerary had me visiting two ports that I have never visited in the past.
