Another great experience with Royal Caribbean! The food was excellent, service outstanding, and activities were a lot of fun! Saturday Night Fever show and the Ice show were amazing!
Embarkation is always easy in Galveston and this year, the disembarkation was the smoothest it has ever been. We walked off at 7:50 with our own luggage and it was simple and straightforward - no winding through ...
This was our 12th RC cruise. We were really excited to get away from all the cold weather. Who knew there would be snow and ice in Houston?! It was a bit chilly the first day but as we headed south it warmed up nicely.
I like the Liberty lay out. Same as the Freedom. Very easy to get around and I always enjoyed walking the 5th floor main street promenade to see what was going on. ...
This was a cruise organized by members of SASS. It was titled "An Emerald Ball". We dressed Victorian in dress and relived the glory sailing days of the turn of the Century 1800. All staff were very attentive, the dining staff and waiters, especially for table 575 were very accommodating and respectful. The pool areas were not to our tastes and we did not enjoy the rap and disco music. While ...
We chose this cruise as a first time cruise for our kids. This was our 3rd (me) and 4th (wife) to cruise. The ship was phenomenal and had plenty for all 3 of our kids ages 11, 14, 15. Maybe we are getting pickier as we get older but we were disappointed on a couple levels. Our kids earned their own money to pay for unlimited soda pkgs. We had bragged about the soda machines positioned in a few ...
Have never been on Royal and everybody says they are so good and found this convenient cruise out Galveston. I had high hopes but aside from our Head Waiter and Assistant Waiter which were awesome the cruise was underwhelming. The food was average at best, and I felt that the selection was poor. The ship is big but felt small as the lounges and gathering areas did not seem large enough to handle ...
Highlights of how I feel a few days after coming back from the cruise:
-This is NOT a family-friendly cruise line.
-The ship felt understaffed. We felt it on a daily basis.
-The ship felt too crowded in the buffet
-Long lines to the water sport and rock climbing activities
-The buffet food was way too greasy and unhealthy for our liking. Very few seafood options.
-I did not feel ...
In our "cruising life" we have been on four different cruise lines. We have become loyal cruisers now with Royal Caribbean. The food, the ships and service is always great. Our Kids have cruised with us starting at a young age thru their teens. They have always had great times no matter the age ! They are older now so its time The wife and I cruise without them for a bit !!!!!!
Our ships with ...
We experienced rough, windy, chilly and rainy weather most of the cruise. However, we felt a limited amount of movement, since the ship is part of the larger fleet of RCCL. The ship appears to be in need of updates. The carpets, especially on the stairs, are worn and beginning to show the end of their useful life.
The ships crew is typical of RCCL, with their friendly attitude and customer ...
This was our neighborhood's winter escape cruise so there were about 70 people or so from our community and about the same from another retirement community nearby. Forgot it was MLK week so lots of people brought since it was a short school week. Kids for the most part were pretty well behaved.
Weather didn't cooperate in Costa Maya but not the fault of RCCL. Personally I would avoid MLK ...
we were part of a wedding party that was happening on the ship and this is why we were on this trip. Boarding and disembarkation were smooth. The dining was excellent, great variety and some nice standards if you didn't care for the daily specials. The service was great and our cabin attendant was awesome. The entertainment schedule was a little wonky - we had the 8pm dinner so we had to see the ...
