This was a cruise organized by members of SASS. It was titled "An Emerald Ball". We dressed Victorian in dress and relived the glory sailing days of the turn of the Century 1800. Have never been on Royal and everybody says they are so good and found this convenient cruise out Galveston. Highlights of how I feel a few days after coming back from the cruise:
-This is NOT a family-friendly cruise line.
-The ship felt understaffed. We felt it on a daily basis.
-The ship felt too crowded in the buffet

In our "cruising life" we have been on four different cruise lines. We have become loyal cruisers now with Royal Caribbean. The food, the ships and service is always great. We experienced rough, windy, chilly and rainy weather most of the cruise. However, we felt a limited amount of movement, since the ship is part of the larger fleet of RCCL. The ship appears to be in need of updates. The carpets, especially on the stairs, are worn and beginning to show the end of their useful life.

This was our neighborhood's winter escape cruise so there were about 70 people or so from our community and about the same from another retirement community nearby. Forgot it was MLK week so lots of people brought since it was a short school week. Kids for the most part were pretty well behaved.
