Selected the cruise for the ports, and the available on-board activities.
Due to a medical emergency the ship missed the stop in Grand Cayman. Despite the fact that the staff had to know this would be the case by 11pm the prior evening, no announcement was made until approximately 9am the next morning. The information channel played the day's information on the port as if we would still make ...
Wanted to try a different cruise line. It was a terrible mistake we just wasted a lot of money for a horrible vacation. They skipped a whole destination port because of one person and only reimbursed us like 30 or 40 dollars of our 1800 dollar cruise. If you wanted room service you had to pay if you wanted food you had to pay if you wanted a towall you had to pay if you wanted ice it took over 24 ...
This was a return to cruising for us and our first for our daughter. It was terrible. Started with RCCL transfer from Houston (IAH) to Galveston being late due to not one, but two broke buses. When it did arrive (3 hours late) we hit traffic and were the last to get on the boat. We were rushed through being told over and over we were holding up the ship. No pictures, no welcome, no porters, just ...
I chose this cruise for 2 reasons: 1) Stop in Grand Cayman and 2) Waterpark onboard. We skipped Grand Cayman because the ship turned around for a medical emergency 4 hours out of Cozumel. The Waterpark was a big ZERO. The pools are the size of backyard pools. The slides are nothing - the kids got stuck in them and had to push themselves out from 1/2 way down.
I had 2 14-year old girls with ...
I’ve done this cruise before. However, this was a first cruise for my 11 year old granddaughter. She is ready to cruise again! The wait staff on this cruise was amazing! Many options for getting a bite to eat or a special occasion dinner at any of the specialty restaurants. The entertainment is fabulous! Most are family friendly and if not you are told not to bring your children. Pool area ...
This is my second Royal Caribbean cruise and overall I am very satisfied with our experience. I went on vacation with my 10 year old son. He picked the ship after seeing the water slides and flowrider. He really enjoyed the flow rider all week. He begged to go to the after hours kids club every night. I was able to go to the later shows while he was at the kids club. The staff was very nice and ...
To celebrate my in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary, the entire family went on a cruise together. We arrived, met friendly porters at the dock to handle our luggage, friendly staff that tried to encourage everyone while standing in the long lines (which moved along, but of course were just long). It was my wife and I's first time to cruise.
The process of checking in was smooth enough, though ...
Cruised on Royal out of Galveston, TX as is closest port to our home that services Royal Caribbean. This was 2nd cruise on Liberty in 2 years. The Embarkation process is very smooth at Galveston port. Parking is very well marked. Shuttle drivers always prompt to assist. Check in process goes very well, especially if one has proper documents filled out before arriving. Food was great in both ...
We are Diamond on Royal and Platinum on Carnival so we enjoy both cruise lines. For the ship and food there is no comparison to Carnival at all, Royal wins everytime. Carnival we like the atmosphere and from Florida we like all the ports better on Carnival. So 2 different cruise lines. I will say Royal has a better loyalty program being Diamond. Carnival’s Platinum isn’t near as good. ...
We took a 7 night cruise on Royal Caribbean out of Galveston Tx, the overall experience was great, the Liberty of the Seas is a nice ship, there are many attractions for all ages. The ship is very well maintained and staffed. The food was pretty good overall, the main dining is definitely the better choice over the Windjammer just because the quality of food is much better. The Windjammer is all ...
