This is a combo report/review from a b2b western/eastern carribean trip I did July/Aug 2018 on Equinox. I was in a Sky Suite the first week and an Aquaclass room the second.
To cut to the chase: I had a terrific time and I’ve booked another Equinox b2b for next summer; although a good bit earlier in the season.
Embarkation Day 1
I flew into MIA in the morning, landing about 1130. ...
First, the positive. The service on board is absolutely outstanding, in fact, most likely the best we have ever had on the 14+ cruises we have taken. Really can't say enough about the service. In particular, Angela in Bacio, Rex our cabin attendant, and Armando in the main dining room are just some of the crew who provided us with exemplary attention and service. Many other crew did also, just ...
Been on over 15 cruises. The food on this ship was the best I’ve had in the last 5 cruises that I’ve taken. This includes food at the buffet and in the formal dining room This was my first Celebrity Cruise. The service in the formal dining room was outstanding (Antony and Diaz). The service in the buffet overall was extremely good. Tables cleared quickly; offers to deliver tea coffee or other ...
We chose the cruise due to the ports and good deals. I like to snorkel so Grand Caymen and Key West were on my bucket list.
We have cruised on Royal C. and NCL previously. There are some things we really liked about Celebrity and some not so much.
Embarkation and disembarkation were amazingly quick. We were on the boat within 20 minutes and off in the same timeframe. We loved the buffet, ...
Our 7 day cruise on the Equinox was incredible. First of all, embarkation was incredibly fast and the glass of champagne when you first board was a very nice welcome. Ship was easy to find your way around and elevators were very fast. The food was also Amazing in both the buffet and main dining room. The Beef Wellington and Prime Rib were simply excellent. The buffet had lots of variety and ...
Been on equinox before and enjoyed the activies and entertainment. This cruise’s entertainment was embarrassing. Two comedians, one juggler, one great singer and two shows with a new group of performers that were inexperienced and not talented. The dancers and aerial act was very good but the rest was so disappointing. Next when the ship’s CELEBRITY TODAY lists such activites as bean bag toss and ...
Apart from the entertainment we found the cruise to be of a high standard, the food, the staff and the facilities for quiet areas were excellent.
One of the highlights of the cruise was in the specialist oriental restaurant where we were looked after as if we were part of the family with recommendations being given by our waiter.
One disappointment was the great expanse of grass on the top ...
We flew in from the UK a few days before the cruise and we’re met at the airport by a lovely lady who directed us to a shuttle bus, and gave us some info on getting round Miami.
The transfer from the hotel to port was fine and embarkation was painless. The ship itself was lovely and our cabin 7224 was clean and bright. Our room steward, Sheldon was fantastic.
We had dinner at the 8.30 ...
We chose this itinerary because our grandgirls wanted to be in the water, snorkeling and the like. We found Celebrity to offer great value for the money. We all loved the variety and quality of food in the Oceanview Cafe but did eat in the central dining room (Silouette) and the Tuscan Grille for a special birthday. Excellent. Crew was very friendly and always helpful. Main pool was ...
This is honestly the worst cruise that we have ever been on. The customer service was horrible. The bar tenders near the pool were just rude and did not want to be doing their jobs. There was hardly any music pool side accept for the last day on board and there were never enough lounge chairs..... If you are looking for pool side service and a fun enjoyable experience, DO NOT BOOK THIS SHIP.... ...
