Wonderful Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

The ship was beautiful ad the service was great. On the cruise we went to the following ports: Cozumel, Rotan, Belize and Costa Maya. The ports were beautiful and the staff was very helpful. I am already planning my vacation for next year with Norwegian. The ship was clean and beautiful. The cabin was updated and the view was beautiful from our room. The food was good. Some ...

Great Ports of Call - NCL could follow Disney's lead on organization

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We selected this cruise because it had the ports of call we wanted and was leaving from New Orleans which was a convienant drive. We were traveling with our 11 and 14 year old boy and girl. We got a Balcony room with a bunk and a pull out. The room was a lot smaller than we expected and the bathroom extremely small. It was so small that my husband and son had to constantly go to the public ...

Absolutely Awesome Cruise

We choose this cruise because it left out of New Orleans and we are very familiar with New Orleans. We spend the winters on the Mississippi Coast so it was just a short drive over to the port. There was nothing we didn't like about the cruise. Everything went perfectly. The ship itself is breathtakingly beautiful. Our stateroom was perfect for our needs. The food was excellent, ...

Nice Ship, Good Ports, Great Time with Fellow Passengers

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

I chose this cruise about 3 weeks prior to sail date. I have been on a few NCL cruises, have encountered many fans of the Pearl and wanted to try the ship. I also love sailing out of New Orleans. I traveled solo and had no special needs or mishaps on the ship or in port (that was a miracle). Embarkation was standard except I happened to have my luggage with me. The line moved as best it ...

Freestyle is MY style!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

This is my 3rd cruise, 1st on NCL (2 prior on Carnival). NCL is far and away a much more elevated experience than Carnival. Freestyle cruising allows for flexibility that I really enjoyed. I cruised in a group of 7, we had 3 mini-suites and all had the Ultimate Beverage Package and the Dining Package with 3 meals in the premium restaurants. Food --- I never had a bad meal on board -- the ...

5 Days of 5 Star Service

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

A friend has sailed with Norweigan before and highly recommended it. I have to say the service was 5 Star and what impressed me the most was how clean the ship is. Our cabin was always made, we did not wait on anything (food, drinks, clean cabin) and there were always activities each day. This was my first cruise and return to sea after serving in the Navy 20 years ago. Everyone on the Pearl ...

We chose this cruise because it was just the right length of time and we wanted to go to Mexico, where we were sure the weather would be warm and sunny. When I called Norwegian to book the cruise, the salesperson I spoke with was "oh so nice." He told me that it was a great bargain because all drinks were included, no extra charge. On our first day at sea my husband went to the bar and ordered 3 ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Boarding was no big deal. Long windy lines but well-organized. Embarking was no big deal either. Long line, but well-organized. Had fun in Cozumel. Did some shopping, drinking, and sight-seeing. Went to the old time square (they call it the plaza) to where the residents do their shopping, banking, etc. Did not spend much time in the port shops designed for tourists. Had fun negotiating ...

Excellent service on Norwegian

The port of New Orleans was our departure and arrival port. We had never been to NOLA and never cruised on Norwegian. The Nola port was fantastic. Norwegian is a good choice cruise line. The staff is excellent. The food and dining were very good however, we were looking forward to the usual lobster dinner and were disappointed when that never appeared on the menu; perhaps because this was only a ...

Wonderful ship and crew, but with excessive hype and musical naivete

My wife and I chose this cruise because it departed from New Orleans, a city we wanted to explore for several days, and because it stopped at two locations in Mexico, a country we had never visited before. The ship was wonderful, the crew normally friendly and competent, the food and drink excellent, and the daily events well organized. We chose a 3.5 hour shore excursion to the Mayan ruins at ...
