Carnival Freedom..Everything We Expected Her to Be

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Carnival Freedom simply exceeded our expectations for a first ever family cruise that included our oldest daughter (a rookie cruiser), our second daughter and our son-in-law and our 2 grand-kids (5 and 10-also rookie cruisers). My wife and I are experienced cruisers (at least in our opinion) with 5 previous cruises to our credit...one cruise was on the the Freedom's sister ship Carnival ...

A Very Good Cruise with a Few Bumps

We decided to try a cruise out of Texas as we always go out of the east coast to try something different. Overall we had a very good cruise, here are some highlights; Embarkation took 15 minutes, very easy We had a inside cabin, roomy enough for 2 on the 9th floor which was super convenient, out room steward was solid. The only issue was it never got cold in the room Malcolm the CD was ...

This was a REALLY fantastic cruise for us. We've sailed before on the Magic and this was my 4th cruise (first as an adult and without kids along) and my girlfriend's second. The last time we sailed, we had an interior room, along with 2 kids - that was cramped. This time around we sprung for a balcony room on Deck 7; we loved the balcony so much, we aren't sure we will ever cruise without one, it ...

I am in my early 60’s and have cruised so many times I have lost count. My niece is in her mid-20s and this is her second cruise. I am a 50 year veteran of the hospitality industry, an Italian trained chef and a certified sommelier. I tell you this so you might better understand my perspective of the cruise. I see and expect more than the average guest. Embarkation We booked a shuttle from ...

We were on the Spa Deck.. (11th floor balcony ) After cruising on the Dream two years ago... the Freedom seemed to be lacking in areas. It is a smaller ship, so I am sure that has something to do with it. We had anytime dining in the Chic dining room.. Alvin was the best waiter by far!! We had him one night and from then on he knew our names. The food was okay, but nothing was just over ...

Still a Carnival Devotee

Another memorable trip with Carnival. This places us in the "gold" category with thirty-plus days on the water over a period of 25 years , and Carnival still can deliver a terrific experience. The embarkation effort was a bit frustrating if you don't follow their instructions, but still that many people trying to get aboard is just a tough thing to accomplish. All in, we sat waiting for maybe ...

Great 2nd Cruise

This was our second cruise. Our first cruise was on the Carnival Magic. I enjoyed this cruise much much more because it was smaller. No elevator wait times, whereas the Magic was ALWAYS crowded at the elevators. I'm talking elbow to elbow. I think I like the smaller ships. The staff was friendly and efficient. Only one complaint was they had us line up outside on the deck for the safety ...

This was my husband and I 2nd cruise but wanted to take my son and his girlfriend. Needless to say they LOVED it and we loved the time we got to spend with them! The staff was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about this cruise! I would highly recommend it! We sailed on Carnival Magic last year which is little bit bigger than the Freedom but Freedom has an adult only swimming pool which ...

We went with several of our cousins who recommended this ship to us. It was our 1st time cruising and I must say it was a fabulous trip. Everyone from the steward to the dining room crew was exceptional, very friendly and helpful always. Customer service folks were always glad to answer questions and never seemed to get upset. And the food** it was beyond wonderful.. We made good use of the ...
