Just getting the car parked at the port was a 1 and 1/2 hour process. Getting onto to the ship went smoothly for a change. The food buffet was the worst I have experienced in over 10 cruises including 4 on Carnival. The sit down dining was way below the standard I have always had. The menu food choices were not good at all. The appetizers were always the same. Service was just acceptable not ...
1st we had a famtastic time however there were a few things that we did not like. I called to book the drink package and was told to call back. When I called back was told the package had gone up $10 per person per day. Hard pill to swallow. With only 15 drinks per day. Sounds like a lot but with 3 at sea days it really is not. Also we selected any time dining. Will not do that again as it really ...
Within moment of stepping onto this ship we knew we had made a mistake booking this cruise. As we were walking to our muster station we walked past the main elevators and were hit with a sewage smell that we would smell many more times in many areas of the ship. The worst of that smell came at the serenity bar. I was truly scared to drink my drink because it made we worry about the sanitation in ...
This was our third Transatlantic cruise with Carnival and by far the worst. If this had been our first Carnival cruise we'd never set foot again on a Carnival ship. The cruise got off to the worst possible start and never really recovered to an acceptable level. It started on a sour note with Embarkation and finished on a sour note with Disembarkation, the bit inbetween was only slightly ...
Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...
I am surprised by how bad the food is and the ship is dirty. The staff are good but seemed to be trained not to give bigger than a child serving for the Buffett. The prime rib a few nights ago turned out to be a few bites of beef. They cut such small bite size pieces I felt bad for the carver. Awful. Just ruined a good prime rib why bother?? This will be my last cruise on Carnival. I really used ...
We went on the last Freedom cruise before her dry dock in Barcelona to get her fins fixed. We had a great cruise. The boat is a bit older, very similar to the Liberty (almost identical) but very easy to navigate, in great shape, great staff and a clean ship. The atrium always had good music and events. The musicians were excellent with a great selection of music. The cruise director, Andy, was my ...
Just got off 5 night cruise on Carnival Freedom to the Bahamas, and a lot has changed since we went on the Freedom last year.
We loved it so much last year we went again, but the food and service were horrible this time.
Had a balcony room again but this time the light didn't work and we were told that it couldn't be fixed, so we opened the curtains for some light out there at ...
I chose this cruise because of pricing, amount of days traveled and destinations. It was a five day cruise. Three days on the sea and two days spent at the destinations (one day at each destination). Embarking was better than debarking.
The television show choices need an immediate upgrade. The movie channels (two or three) were subpar. I understand having channels to promote the cruise ...
Freedom cruise from 8/5 - 8/10
We just got home from our first ever Carnival cruise and it will also be our last.
We had the most miserable trip of our lives. This was our 14 year old sons first cruise and it was a total waste of our money. We paid for priority boarding and got our luggage long after people who did not have priority. We paid for the soda package for our son but would have ...
