This cruise out of Galveston was delayed slightly due to fog. Luckily, we were staying with relatives in Houston who were dropping us off. I just checked cruisin.me and the Galveston webcams until I saw that the ship was docked, then we ... Read more

This was a ladies trip and my first time taking a cruise. I had a great time. We had a balcony room and I spent most of my mornings and late evening sitting there. It was very peaceful, especially whenever I wanted to find a quiet place to ... Read more

(To preface, we are very budget-conscious). We chose this cruise because it was cheaper to sail during this time of year and stayed in an interior stateroom because it was also cheaper and we figured that we wouldn't spend a lot of time in ... Read more

Well, I had no idea if I would get seasick and got my answer on this very rough water cruise! Other than that unfortunate weather luck of the draw, this was a fun 4-night adventure. We really rocked and rolled heading out of Galveston on ... Read more

I am normally a Carnival fan, but the Freedom left me underwhelmed. The boat was well maintained and clean and the crew was always busy and working hard. The food was great in the Steakhouse but the buffet and dining room were ... Read more

Yeah, that's a joke. This was not a terrible cruise, but to explain the title, know that those saying Carnival is going downhill (like most everything) are right. Mostly first-world complaints: Poorer food quality. Fewer options on the ... Read more

This was our first cruise and we were impressed. It was the Thanksgiving cruise out of Galveston, Texas and the boat was not as crowded with families as we expected. The Freedom is a nice boat, even though its one of the older ones in the ... Read more

This was our 18th cruise, twice on Freedom. Things have gone downhill for sure. The level of entertainment was pretty bad. We saw a juggler in the main theater that dropped various items three different times. Jokes were corny and I ... Read more

We chose this cruise because of the port mainly. The ship was wonderful with so much to do, I don't believe we even did everything there was to offer. Embarkation was smooth and so was disembarkation. The ship was clean, the staff was ... Read more
