Remember you get what you paid for and on Liberty that is exactly what you get. The overall service was average - some crew members friendlier that others. The ship had several minor technical problems ( could not reach full cruising speed) so our itinerary changed - went to Progresso first then to Cozumel - coming back into Galveston were an hour late in arriving.
The overall quality of food ...
Never sailed Carnival before and thought we give it a try and WE WILL NEVER AGAIN! At first we were very excited to board the ship. We got on they had drinks ready to go and the buffet was open. We then settled into our room and enjoyed watching the dolphins and getting to peruse the ship and learn where everything was at. Finally it was time for the muster drill and that's where it all went ...
My wife and I went on a cruise for our 13 year wedding anniversary. This was our first cruise and we had no idea what to expect. We chose Carnival because several friends recommended them. The embarkation process was somewhat lengthy, but expected with 3,400 people trying to board. We located our room and was very impressed with the size and layout. I got a balcony room and boy am I glad I ...
Amazing! We boarded just after 12:00 pm and were told rooms would be ready by 1:30 pm but then they announced around 1:00 pm that rooms were already available. They said luggage would be delivered by 4:00 pm but we had ours before 3:00 pm. We had lunch at the buffet on the Lido deck while we waited for our room. Once our room was ready we changed into our swim suits and were actually the first ...
My husband and I just returned from a 5 day cruise on the Liberty. We loved the cruise and found the ship to be in good shape.
ARRIVAL/EMBARKATION: We left Leander at 6:15 AM and arrived in Galveston around 9:45. My husband dropped me and the bags at the terminal curb then went across the street to park at Galveston Park N Cruise. Checking in was easy, and everyone working was super friendly. ...
My brother actually picked this cruise because he had never cruised before and wanted to experience cruising to see for himself why I like it so much. My wife and I have been cruising since 2009 and fell in love with cruising. We take one or two a year, and this year we will be on four cruises. Since we live only three hours from Galveston, we chose a cruise departing from that cruise port ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate my birthday. We live an hour from Galveston, so it was an easy drive down on the morning of the cruise. We parked at EZ Cruise, as usual, and arrived at the pier at 11:00 am. Our check in window was 10:30 to 11:00am. I did see a woman being turned away from the door of the terminal with a 12:30 check in time. She was very unhappy and very loud about it. We ...
Absolutely fantastic. Considering having to keep a lot of people happy.....
The ship was kept very clean and neat. Huge variety of food. Fresh daily and very tasteful. I have a lot of admiration for all the chefs working very long hours preparing such a large variety of food. It was just sad to see how much food people put on their plates and gets wasted....... Service was excellent. ...
We were with a church group of 19 people. We left home about 7:00 the morning of sailing, for a 3.5 hr. drive to Galveston. Arrived at our parking lot at 10:30 and waited a little while for our shuttle to take us to the terminal. Our assigned check-in time was 11:00-11:30 and we were right on time. There were lines but they moved right along. New policy of no bottled sodas or water, only ...
Fantastic ship, Crew, and itinerary. We have been to Cozumel before, but wanted to go to Progreso to see more Mayan ruins and this itinerary was the only one that would accomplish that. We also needed to go out of Galveston as our son, who was going with us on his first cruise, lives there.
The Crew made this a fantastic cruise all on their own. The excursions were just icinig on the cake. ...
