This was our first cruise and picked the ship for its Ports and Price (Having two kids 11 and 6 is was way cheaper than other cruise lines.)
We had a brilliant holiday and we would not hesitate to use MSC again.
Embarkations and Disembarkation was fast and stress free.On way into ship we didn't wait longer than 20 mins and coming off was a breeze ... we just strolled off.
The ship was ...
This is the second cruise we've taken out of Copenhagen, MSC was vey easy and perfectly set up for both embankment and disembarkment. The ship is smaller, but not claustrophobic, plenty of space to roam around between ports. The cabin was small. We had an obstructed view, but it was what was available. The bed was one of the worst I have ever slept on. Storage was tight, but we made it work. We ...
I chose MSC because they were going to unique ports of call that many others were not in Northern Europe. The ports of call were Gdynia (Poland), Klapedia (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia), Tallin (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Warnemunde (Germany.) The cruise was on the MSC Opera. I had read many reviews prior to sailing but could ...
This was my second cruise on Opera. I last travelled on her to the Black Sea thee years ago. On my last cruise I would have rated the ship four or five but this voyage had some major problems.
Firstly the good points:
The ship has medium sized, modern and comfortable cabins. These cabins are well maintained and the cabin stewards are first rate.
The ship has a good layout and all the ...
My husband and I chose this cruise for its itinerary - Havana, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico. We are both in our early 30s and had never done a cruise before so we were unsure of what to expect. We read all the reviews in advance and we had rather low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised.
Our documentation said that check in was at 7pm. We dropped our bags at the cruise terminal ...
We are a british couple that flew from London to Havana on 10/02/16, we went to Varadero & spent 6 nights at the Blau Varadero before joining the MSC Opera.
We knew the ship wasn't due to dock until around 3pm from the previous weeks' cruise & had heard that people flying in & arriving before 18.30 were not able to get on board, so we decided to stay at our hotel for the day & booked our cab ...
Right from the start we had hassles. We did not embark 'till 19:30 (Correct Time)and as soon as we hit the deck we were harassed by three different staff members trying to sell us drinks packages and this is before we got off the deck. We managed to get to the dining room by 21:00 and same hard sell from the waiter. Still undecided we settled for two glasses of house wine.
Seeing as there was ...
I will start by saying this is my very first time writing a review and felt it necessary as this cruise experience was different than any other of the 14 cruises I have taken.
We were quite excited to be getting this cruise at a great price with the Canadian dollar being so low and the itinerary looked amazing....which it was! Havana was absolutely beautiful with 2 days to explore this ...
This was supposed to be something different, and special since we would get to see Havana. In fact, there were a lot of disappointments, from the get-go.
Somehow, our overall trip included the "drinks package", so that was great thing (first time ever that we took such a package).
Before cruise communication with MSC was impossible: many emails, many attempts at phone calls, nothing ...
First , I will comment on the good. The ship is lovely, the entertainment is great, the service in the L'Approdo Restaurant superb, Sotto Vento Pub, great servers but very slow in getting service due to lack of help. We ordered sandwiches once and waited over an hour, so we left. Our cabin was very nice with balcony. Service was non existant with the cabin boy. He left our drink glasses and ...
