Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

A friend told us that we could buy the cheap tickets when the last minute. So, we did it. We loved the buffet very much. The food was good. Especially the buffet was my wife's first option. We enjoyed the many kinds of food and fresh fruit almost every day. We still tried other restaurant which had good meal and free of charge. The ashore excursions were not worthwhile and a little expensive. ...

This was our second cruise to Alaska, but our first cruise with Norwegian. Our first cruise was with Oceania and we really enjoyed it. Since Oceania and Norwegian are owned by the same company we set our expectations high based upon our experience on Oceania. Wanting the best the Norwegian Jewel had to offer we booked the Haven two bedroom stateroom. The Haven provides a personalized ...

Alaska is the only state I had never been in, so when the opportunity presented itself to take this cruise to Alaska, we said why not. We did not travel with any children We cruised in the Norwegian Jewel, We stayed in cabin 8624, it was the perfect location, I read everything I could find on this particular ship, and truly became frightened at all the negative comments I read. Then I ...

I chose the cruise because it was available at the time I wanted to take vacation and I had wanted to go to Alaska for a while. The Alaska portion of the trip was fantastic and I highly recommend it, I had beautiful clear skies and temperate weather with very little rain. The NCL staff outside of "Guest Services" was good overall and if not for the terrible service from their Guest Services staff, ...

Always wanted to see Alaska. Decided on the Norwegian cruise because of the great extras. Had the beverage package, which was really great. Check in lines unbelievable. We were in 3 different lines for 2 hours. Really bad experience for the beginning of a vacation. I requested a porter for the luggage line and was told no. However the ship, staff, food and entertainment were ...

We enjoy the cruising lifestyle. Pampered by room stewards, helped by on board staff and meticulously waited on by restaurant and bar staff. Regardless of what some call outdated decor, the ship is clean, bright and staffed by the nicest people on the planet. The stops in Alaska were great. Especially enjoyed the old town in Skagway as well as the train ride to the top of the mountain. The ...

Reading the blogs in regards to the Norwegian Jewel were spot on. Ranking: 1) Entertainment (the entertainment staff really does a great job on the Jewel) 2) Activities (there is something to do every hour of every day on the Jewel. You will never get bored.) 3) Room (Penthouse room at the front of the boat had a huge deck with amazing views) 4) Service (everyone was very ...

Our family of 5 adults booked the Garden Villa and thoroughly enjoyed its 5,000 sq ft with 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a vast living room with spectacular views and grand piano, and outdoor decks on 2 levels. The service by our butler, Ronald, and concierge, Bruno, was impeccable. Regina, the housekeeper, kept the suite very clean. There was a problem all week with the heater on the private hot ...

Just came off the Vancouver/Alaska/Seattle , 8 days cruise. The staff were ALL very friendly, and the ship was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed all the shows, and the entertainment ( except the comedian ) he wasn't that great. And, the food was cold in the Irish Pub ( which I really dislike ) . The Steak House was the best ever !!! We had a Ocean Balcony Suite # 11506- and it was very ...

We recently returned from an eight-day inside passage Alaska cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. We sailed in an Owner’s Suite (10004), which is part of The Haven. This was our first cruise, and we were big cruise skeptics. Our vacation travel is generally more geared toward luxury, and we tend to avoid crowds, which is why we’ve avoided cruising. Because we were eager to see Alaska, we decided to ...
